Limited edition of 3000 kits.....we will send info soon to dealers.....they will take pre-orders. Thanks -
Coming soon from the great folks at Model King and Moebius Models is another great stock car legend racer!! We are finalizing the decals and boxart for the Marshall Teague 1953 Hudson Hornet. Due later this year, as soon as we have a firm ETA we will post the info. The painting for this box was done by noted automotive artist Dan McCrary. The decal art and box graphics were done by myself. I will post decals and built prototype model as soon as they are complete. PS....stay tuned.....we have more news soon!!! Thanks!!

I have built most of these Hasegawa '66' curbside American cars. I built the Caddy years ago and thought it was decent for what it was. I thought the Pontiac would make a neat low rider/mild custom. The kit has more flaws than the others of this series. But it was to test some Dupli-color Strawberry Red I got on sale more than anything else!!! I did add some Pegasus whells and lowered the car by not using the axle blocks. Some foil and that's about it. Too bad there are not more cars in the series and the are just a little better kits. I like the simple good looking build. OK for a days work.....I'll just put it on a high shelf!!! Thanks

Wish Jada would do that in 1/24 scale!

I'm aware of that teaming with Revell.....but it was more an overall statement that this business is work....and not all fun. And being 50+ years of age Bud and Barris (met both of them) would be the guys I'd imagine showing up at my dream job of the 1960's! It's still more fun than not....but there are days you want to go collect stamps...... -

Fun discussion.......but hope you don't wake up in control of a model company!!! Working in the biz you tend to loose it as a hobby. I am lucky to get to work with Model King and Moebius. I have done work at Revell and AMT too at one time. While I still enjoy it I have lost plastic models as a hobby. Some days when deadlines are coming I say I am not going to do the biz side any longer and go back to the hobby I have enjoyed since I was 5 years old. But seeing something on the shelf at a store keeps me going.....for now. It is a very difficult job today.....1960's at AMT was a LOT more fun I am sure.....they could put anything out and it sold more than the best sellers today. Bud Anderson and Geo Barris dropping by with cool cars.....that might have been fun. Today it's tough and I respect those that do it full time. I think Moebius is doing a pretty good job on box art. Across the board on their cars and Sci Fi or firgure kits. Sean S. did this one for the coming kit.....I like it.... -
Been to a number of Hobby Lobby stores....never seen any mark kits OVER MSRP.....You gotta remember retail price of AMT/MPC and Revell kits have had two price increases in the last two years. Many AMT MSRP are $24-26 and the same for Revell. I don't think I've ever seen any RoG kits anyway.....but if they get a Revell London bus I'll pick one up at 40% off like all models I buy there..... I got a Italiari 1/72 scale XB-70 kit for $20 on close out down from MSRP $65!!!

I know of the A arm issues.....that was corrected with the 2nd gen of the kit. I do not know of the header issue....I built a number of the Vettes for the original AM and never had a header issue. What is it? I picked one up even though I had a few AM versions. A collector oddity for me really....A kit labeled Accurate Miniatures on every bag and tree but sold by Revell! A good kit $19 I paid Monday.

Those that know say the C Cab kits, Medicine, Meter, Mixer, Gurber etc.....can't be re-issued due to tooling issues. I'd like to see Meter and Gurber again though..... Here is T-Bone....a modified Gurber and why we can't have it back....... These kits are based on 1/32 scale Renault early 1900 autos....FYI

Looks good! Might have been easier for them to send a kit and build it.....might have been less work!!!! -
The showroom stock version kits landed stateside about a week ago and should be out there now. The Flock racing version and Hudson convertible are due in 4-6 weeks. I will post when they are near.

Read between the lines....the designer that did the 1/18 Cobra Daytona die cast did work for AM.......
-
Nice work!!! Glad to see someone use the Flock numbers I drew!!!

AM was going to do the roadster....but time ran out on them.....too bad.....also all the other stuff on the drawing boards....
