All Art presented here is Fact . The Kit (both the Original and Resin) represent the Prototype of 1911 . The Barrel Honeycomb Radiator was too expensive to make and did not offer any advantage over the contemporary flat radiators . Sans the Roof and Windshield both is correct also . Thanx ..

Ditto .. Choices , choices , choices .. Thanx .. -
AMC AMX , I like it . Great build . I am a purist , though you already know this , as the Wheels detract from this IMHO . Underrated as these still are .. Did you ever ride or drive one ? I regret NOT owning more AMC's . Instead ; '60 Corvair - '65 Buick Special - '72 Pontiac LeMans - '77 Pontiac Astra '87 Pontiac Pheonix . Questions ?? I admire this and thank you ..

Hmmm ... second attempt to do this . Today is my first time I can recall looking in this section . l see I M U S T be here constantly reading ! Some of the things as I see here are quite alarming .. I am unable to do the following as I understand it . : Looking for friends .. Instead I am able to follow certain persons . I asked to be notified when the people I follow , post .. NOPE ! Looking to contact members . .. Searching for my posts .. Getting Notifications , about responses when I request such notices .. Updating my own information .. What ?? These are issues fixed or will be fixed . These I mentioned don't work for me . I've been on here since 2007 , although it does not appear so . Help me understand this please ??

Want to see EXCESSIVE?
dimaxion replied to jbwelda's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Did I miss the jest of what you wrote ? I see the same items sold for high dollars . Been contacted by the seller of successful auctions explaining I was the next higher bidder of these same items . I was then "given the opportunity to buy the item at a Higher price than I bid or was willing to pay" . I decline and see the same item re-listed . This is the jest of what I am complaining about . I did ask if it were possible to know of the Item I am considering to bid on was listed , not sold , and relisted at a later time . . Thanx .. -

I did complain to Ebay today as I see the same issue . I did offer to document any activity I notice . Let's see what the response is . Thanx .. -
I am not sure about the pattern . It is of a dark purple , lavender repeating pattern I did my best replicating form a Color Copy . It does have a theme of exotic flowers . Possibly Bouquets of Flowers IMHO . Thanx ..

Beautiful build of the Car that "Put the World on Wheels" . Carbon Black was not part of the Tire Formula for Automobiles . Some was accidentally spilled into a Batch while researching for a longer lasting Compounds . Due to the cost of each batch , the decision was made to test this new compound . Viola Success ! Somewhere during 1914 , Black Tires were available in Premium Brand Names , I am unable to find the MY Henry supplied all Black-wall tires to his Automobiles . His cars did use Premium Materials . PERIOD . Mr. Ford were Produced Cars of efficiency , not cost cutting . Thanx ..

A second Bodied and final Version of the Royal Chassis 41111 . It was originally a Roadster specified and built without lights . So named the Edster's Roadster after the name of the buyer M. Arnand Edster . It was re-bodied for the King of Romania , King Carol . Binder did the conversion including lights . IIRC , this one is known as the Coupe de Napoleon . The series traveled and cruised at 85 MPH without stress . Second gear was used up to speed below 60 MPH . Sound familiar ? Just as a '62 Ferrarri does 250 GTO in second gear ? In Modern times , seeking the Top end is not a reality . The Tires are not replaceable . Nor are the Cars when wrecked trying to find Top End . The newest set of these is 70+ years old . With documentation from owners of the Past , 125 is a certainty to achieve . The Coupe de Ville Passenger Interior Cloth (IIRC - Silk) I fudged using a Color Printer Copy and two weeks of trial and error . The Chauffeur tolerated an outdoor control space on Blue Leather . Enjoy .. Questions : just ask . In 1985 , after a decade of negotiations and arrangements , all 6 were united in one Continent let alone one place at one time ever . Pebbles Beach Concourse de Elagance is the spot , 1985 is the year . A Collector Auto Magazine featured and participated in this event . I had that issue with the Event coverage . I had to give it away . I donated it to Either ACD or Natmus Museum in Auburn , In. . IIRC , I did but the Poster of all 6 at one time the magazine featured . This event never will occur again . My then Teenager Daughter chose to place my Posters in a Damp Place in our leaky Basement . I did thinjk about modifing to build the last versions of all 6 . I am not a wealthy person so I'll pass . The 7 th was made from Spare Parts / handbui.lding . This #7 was a Feature at a Kuse Auto Action early in the Centurty . I have pics of # 7 somewhere ?? Thanx ..

You are correct . Etorre made Aero Straight 8's . Before and during WW I Bugatti Aero Engines were made by Licensce in the US and Allied Nations . One is on display at the ACD Museum in Auburn , In. . This particular Engine was deemed too long and cumbersome for Air Frames Post WW I . As such he created these Cars . Just built 6 during the long run of this Typo 41 . Next logical Step was indeed rail Cars of Self Locomotion Gasoline Power . These Locomotives were in constant use until the LATE '70's . Longevity and serviceability built in as all he made . 85 MPH on the tires in the day is brave ! Thanx ..

Midnight Prowler , this kit is Testors . It is Chassis 41150 . Harry , you are correct . Typo 41 Bugatti Royal had only one mission This mission of Etorre Bugatti was to be the ; largest , most spectacular , Elite , exclusive , comfortable , Powerful and fastest in the day . IMHO , he succeeded hands down . Cost of these , as in all his cars , was not a consideration .

This build is admirable and quite Beautiful . I know what you had to work with . Kudos to you .. These Veteran , Vintage , Antique , Pioneer Autos are my favorite . I build these of all kit manufacture . Heller kits are included in my collection . Yes Virginia , they don't make them like they used to . I failed not yield to temptation of having Scale 3 D of all makes , countries , models , body styles , Kudos .. Thanx ..

Ettore Bugatti made this Chassis and Body at his Shops for Dr Fusche . The Doctor and his Family was expelled form Germany in the '30's . He took the Car with him . It was found in a Wrecking Yard by Chuck Jordon . It was after WW II he located and bought it . Long before he ascended in Fame at the GM Art & Design Studio . He had it restored mechanically as it was non-functional when he found it . The single updraft carburetor wasn't repairable . 4 GM Rochesters do the job today . This is how the Lindbergh kit is correctly depicted . Some minor cosmetics were done while Mr Jordon owned it . It found a permanent home at the Henry Ford Museum during the '60's IIRC . Still on display there as far as I know currently . The Taillights for these magnificent Vehicles are minimal . They achieved speeds of 85 MPH + . The fasted in the day , Race Cars , could make around 70 mph. . 898 , nearly 15 Liters , with 300 HP . Engine Turned Engine Surfaces . The Engines are a work of Art themselves IMHO . Tire Size is ; 36x6.75 . hustle down to Sears for a set every day of the Week .. yah ! A major setback for the 6 of these to get it replacement Tires . The Brake Drums are integral of the Wheels . This one never had the Standing Elephant on the Radiator . Enjoy ; Questions , please ask .. Thanx ..

There were 3 of the 6 Kitted of these Royals . I have all 3 built . This one was owned at the time by Domino Pizza King Tom Monniham's I saw on display at the Canfield , Oh. Fall Fair . Lotrsa - lotsa pictures .. 9 months later . I'll Post the other two later .. Enjoy .. The body for this car is made from 12,000 Mahogany Blocks . Yes , this is a clock in the Center of the Steering Wheel . Does anyone have the missing Standing Elephant Radiator Cap Ornament Rembrant Bugatti created . I am lacking this part , any help ? Enjoy .. Thanx ..

New modeling tool from Kitchen Table Resins
dimaxion replied to Ken Kitchen's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I agree . This is true . I had a giveaway of MT Boxes . Free to the sender . The recipient to pay Postage . Postage only , was a mistake on my part . . I folded down approxamatly 50 Boxes I told him I had for this giveaway . A few I was not able to do so . Being Boxes made before fold out type of the '70's . I took them to the Post Office . I am a disabled shut in . My Wife is Terrified to drive . it was Winter , the most fearful time for her . I came back home , notified the other party the cost . Alarmed , he demanded a reduction of the size to save on Shipping . I did as he requested . I FOLDED all the boxes . Even the ones from the '50's & 60's . Now , the second time I am Boxing / TAPING this shipment up . Onward to the Post Office with Domestic Discord every inch of the way . Still the same cost . He did not understand why it cost $23.00 for a bunch of MT Kit Boxes and $11.00 for a New Model Car Kit . He declined , the whole shebang went to the Recycler's Place with much more Domestic Discord . I did not have to flatten any of the load . Much Shipping tape was wasted . Nowadays , I enjoy breaking down MT boxes .. guilt free .. Happy ! Thanx .. -
Get well soon Chuck .. God Bless .. Thanx ..

Yes kit is a Monogram kit . The large spacing between the Grille Bars indicate an early kit . The later releases the gaps are closed due to die leakage .. lol .. Thanx ..

Yes , The Spokes are engraced on the inside surfaces . I painted the inside with Acrylic Silver and wiped off between the spokes before the paint dried , This left the Silver in the low spots . Trial and error method . I don't think I'll use this process again EVER ! SLOW - tedious - nerveracking comes to mind . Like a 1/4 portion at a time and let dry completely until moving on the next portion . X4 or more X4 Wheels .. I am talking a week . Was it worth it ? Thanx ..
