  1. You did well on this . Please keep them coming . Thanx ..
  2. I just have to say : As a Car Hauler delievering these in the flavor of Olds , I hated them . The red stripes in the bumpers always flaked off in transit . That equals Cargo Damage . It is kept in a Driver's permanent file . It counts against you . I know these same stripes were a Warrenty Nightmare . From what some of the Honest Dealerships told me GM didn't pay these claims . The Dealers ate this cost . The reason of claiming Cargo Damage , let the carrier pay . The Driver had to count every gap on the twin strpes and list these on the delivery recipt . The Dealer Rep. listed the area to fix the entire portion of the affected stripe . Conflict from tne beginning of the Delivery was the result . Thanx ..

  4. I did contact Randy at Perry's Resin yesterday . I've been using <perrysresin.com> . Useless information . The site is <perrysresin@sympatico.com> . The phone works well . Quoting Nick , "the best way" . It is listed at his website . He rarely reads the message board . I apologize for the bad report . After hearing no answers for quite awhile , I got nerveous . His products are excellent . I'v been a customer for as long as he has been in business , resin business that is . I retract my remarks about bad service . Sincerely ..Thanx .. PS : Edit today , thanx Nick ...
  5. You did well on this build . Looking good and just right . It belongs on the back lot of a Chevy Dealer . These muscle cars were either in the Showroom or locked up in back lots . I especially like the 'chambered exhausts . I worked in the Muffler Factory that made these . We were denied permission to produce replacements . Both OEM and Aftermarket . Did these come in the kit ? Thanx ..

  17. The Ford V/8 in the '32 Ford Vicky is an FE Engine . More specific , a side oiler 427 . The Y blocks modeled are found in the Revelle '57 Ford Wagon and Ranchero . Also the AMT '56 & '57 Fords . The Lindberg's '54 Ford . The Stock Version of the Revelle '56 Ford Pickup also has a Y block . Thanx ..
  18. Just right . Looks like this Spinnaker White beauty has yet to prove itself . Thanx ..
  19. The '57-'58-'59-'60 Ford Pickups shared all the same sheet metal . The grilles , details , and powerplants are the difference . AAM did a 1960 , Ed Fluck Jr did a '60 with '57-'58 & '59 Grilles available . Modelhaus offers the '60 . I believe Modelhaus makes the 8' bed . Ed Fluck Jr offered the 6' bed . Both fleetside . I don't know what Hendrix makes . The '61 -'63 (or '64) Ford pickups were the unibodies . I wish for a '61 and a '65 (the first year for twin I beam) , Thanx ..
  20. It was American Satco selling re-packaged Ashimo kits . Includer were left hand drive controls . Thanx ...

  23. I hope that you read this before you use Lacquer Thionner . It will ill effect older resins . These weren't as well distrubited , resin & catalist , as todays Plastics . It will cause you a real haedache . I have always used 409 . It takea a little longer . Easy off will soften and cause to sag resins . I could use that Ford Chassis you have there . Please PM me for swap or trade . Thanx ..
  24. You are right about the Canadian & US Treaty . This eliminated Tarrifs on the cars . The costs of Engines for what was left was the Studebaker / Packard Corp. was about a $60-$70 price difference . I don't think the Tarrif was part of the Costs . After a short time , the costs of Warrenty Coverage for GM's Engines was begining to narrow the gap . It was way too late to by then , no turning back . I like what I see with these Canadian Cars . I just have too much on my plate right now . Subject to change . Thanx ..
