  1. Kurt, I just reviewed the Tamiya 2025 Catalogue. There is no 1/12 scale automotive content shown at all. So the 1/12 F-1 Ferrari 641 is gone. The 1/20 scale is down down to a single page, with no Ferraris. in all of the 1/24 scale there does not appear to be any Ferraris as well. I would venture to say that Tamiya and Ferrari have parted ways, model wise.
  2. Jesse, apparently the subtlety of where the apostrophe needs to be placed was beyond the understanding of the box top art designer. LOL In spite of the 23' designation, I will still buy this kit as I appreciate Jim Keeler's input and his involvement with these re-releases.
  3. You can only hope that this box art has not gone to print. LOL
  4. I was more of a tetrahydrocannabinol person myself! LOL
  5. I've been working on a different kind of kit lately, a DIY speaker kit. I had ordered 1/2" thick industrial felt as a sound deadening agent for inside the cabinets. The location where I picked up the felt was happily on the same street as another LHS (Panther Hobbies). I stopped in with one kit in mind, the Stranger Things '85 Chevy K5 Blazer. I can hardly wait until the final season airs. I thought I had missed out on the Tamiya Porsche 911 GT3 RS, but found one on the shelf. I bought the newly reissued Tamiya Renault 5 Turbo, because I wanted to compare it with the rally version that I have. Finally the Goodyear Polyglas GT set, because you can never have too many wheel/tire sets on hand! LOL
  6. I just logged out and cleared both the user name and password fields. I then used used my email for my user name, and re-entered my current password. It worked perfectly. Thanks Dave, the Moderators, and the MCM Team.
  7. Tamiya has Flat Base, X-21. It is an additive to make gloss paints flat. What if you added some Flat Base to some Tamiya Clear, X-22, and then tried fogging the edges with that. You only need a drop or so of X-21 added to the Clear. By varying the amount added, you could experiment to find the level of haziness that you are trying to achieve.
  8. You are doing an excellent job of adding sports racers to your stash!
  9. SpotModel has it on pre-order for about $187. Moderators, if this thread is the wrong location, please move it.
  10. Mark, welcome back. Nice to see you posting again.
  11. I need to stop checking Michael's coupons. I didn't get the tax break, but at least it was taxed at the 40% off price. I know nothing about Corvettes, though I know this is a repop with new box art.
  12. This would certainly make an awesome upgrade to the Tamiya kit!
  13. I like EVERYTHING you bought. Jealousy is frowned upon, correct? LOL
  14. Bill, you generally like your results, the only issue being durability. I wonder if adding a small amount of white glue to the water might help in this area. I'm thinking in terms of only a few drops. After all it is soluble in water.
  15. Nicely done. Finished results are amazing. Did you use a spray can or airbrush for the body?
  16. Typically the European boxing of Revell kits is normally the nemesis of modellers. The flat box style often results in damaged product. This time it appears there is extra internal bracing in the form of an additional insert that holds the instructions. This is a good step forward in terms of packaging.
  17. I just returned home from Dailey Hobbies, where I met up with a great friend. As usual, I bought some kits. I sure am glad that Don Prudhomme has given Atlantis licensing rights. The Nissan becuse I'm a "Fanboy!" LOL Back in highschool I had a friend whose father was fairly high up in the Shell organization. Said father got my friend a summer job in the Arctic. He came home loaded with cash, and bought this Datsun new. It was even this colour. I have been waiting for this Moebius kit to arrive at Dailey's. Even though I haven't opened it, the box is quite substantial as it is about 50% taller than a regular Moebius kit box. Again, back in high school, I worked part time at an Esso station. When I was the closing person, it was my job to back the station's wrecker into the freshly cleaned first bay. That was my first experience with a standard! LOL
  18. You have to give credit to Revell for the new box art. To me it is very attention grabbing.
  19. I watched his test video. He wasn't entirely impressed with the results he obtained.
  20. Helmut, Thanks for your detailed reply to my question. I too attempt to buy resin pieces when they are available. This was a perfect opportunity purchase for you. Congratulations.
  21. Helmut, they all look great. What will you use for the chassis,interior/wheels?
  22. It looks like the newest version of corporate Revell, has a different take on what is an acceptable duration of kit availability. LOL
  23. Last clip in video... Hey come back here, this is your fault!
