  1. Revell made a 4 door Plymouth Valiant in 1962, along with the 4 door Dart mentioned above, and AMT made the first Valiant model a 4 door in 1960.
  2. VERY nice, Karsten! The weathering is just about perfect. The half flat tires are a nice touch - very realistic! Sam
  3. I built this 37 Ford last month. It's my favorite pickup model. My second favorite is in the background. It's a rusted up 53 ford.
  4. Those are all nice trucks. The 50 looks like farm trucks I used to see around here years ago. The 34 is really cool! Sam
  5. I've used eBay several times for cheap models. I sort the listings by ending soonest, and enter a maximum price of $5. I've found some auctions ending in a few minutes with no bidders, and put in a $5.00 bid and won. Sam
  6. Excellent build, Gerald! Your scratch building skills are amazing. The truck looks very real. Nice job on the bikes, too! Sam
  7. Wow! Nice bike! Looks very realistic. I can hear that V-twin roar! Sam
  8. Great builds! I thought the photos were all of the real cars at first! I've never seen one without a vinyl roof before. Nice work! Sam
  9. My easiest one in recent years was this AMT 55 Corvette snap kit. Back in the day it was the early AMT annuals with no engines, one piece interiors and screw bottom chassis. They were fun, though! Sam
  10. Forums like this have probably helped the manufacturers a lot. We give them tons of feedback and wish lists instantaneously and free to them. They didn't have this instant marketing info in past decades.
  11. Very cool! Great colors and flames. The swivel seats are a great touch! Sam
  12. Wow! Killer detailing! The trunk is incredible! I looked at the pics several times and kept finding things in it that I didn't see before! Great weathering too! Sam
  13. Beautiful wagon! Great color scheme, and the roof rack adds a lot to the model. Nice work! Sam
  14. Super job, Walt - really clean and good looking build. Looks good in black. Sam
  15. GREAT model, Al! Very realistic in that scale. Pill bottle for a brake drum - genius! Now could you dress GI Joe up to be the rider? Maybe paint on some tattoos, and a beard from cotton balls? Just a thought. Sam
  16. Looking good! Excellent work on the side trim conversion. I like the old stock car racers much more than today's NASCAR's. Sam
  17. That is so cool! Love the trailer full of junk. The wood plank tailgate is a great touch! Nice truck, too! Sam
  18. My strength might be called getting the most "bang for the buck." Translation: I'm cheap! I've gotten several $5.00 glue bombs from ebay and rebuilt them using mostly stuff from my old (1960's) parts boxes. I also redid some of my old models from that era for very little cost. I like the challenge of making a decent model without spending a bundle on aftermarket items or buying kits just for some of their parts. Sam
  19. Very cool! Great idea, and well done! Sam
  20. Another nice Mopar! Great job! I like the green color. Sam
  21. Mopars rule! Nice job, great engine detail! Sam
  22. Good to see such an unusual subject modeled so nicely. Great work! Sam
  23. Beautiful Merc! Great color, good detailing, love it! Sam
  24. Lookin' good! Great engine detail. I need to get that kit. Sam
