  1. Very nice! Great color, and I like the purple heater hoses! Very cool! Sam
  2. I'm flattered by all your compliments, guys. Thanks so much! I cheated a little on the foil work. The side window frames are done in silver paint (Testors marker), as were the door handles and rocker panel trim. The rest is foil. I'm glad you guys like the dioramas. The Dad's Garage diorama was built two years ago, and I just made the inside garage diorama. I still have details to add to it. Here's a photo of it on my workbench. It's just three foamboard walls and a plywood floor. It has a removable ceiling that will be seen in low angle photos. The 56 Chevy was a glue bomb given to me by a friend who partially built it when he was a kid. It was really rough and wouldn't come apart, so I made a junker out of it.
  3. I bought this Hudson kit back in January, and finally built it. I held off building it because I feared a BMF nightmare, but it turned out to be easier than I thought. I foiled it all in about four hours. The paint is Krylon Fusion maroon and black, based on a photo I saw of a real Hudson. The paint went on smooth, but the wet look clear came out a bit lumpy, very noticeable on the hood in the second photo. I'm not sure why. This is a great kit - beautifully packaged, great instructions, everything fits, and the box art should be framed and hung on a museum wall! These photos were taken in two of my dioramas. I enjoyed this build. I hope you guys like it too. Sam

  9. Nice! Looks like Pontiac made it. Great conversion! Sam
  10. You could spray it with a coat of Testors gloss black enamel. It's made for plastic models. Don't put too much on, or you will lose a lot of detail.
  11. Really nice model! Great detail, and finish! Good work! Sam
  12. Really nice GTO! Great interior and engine detail. Good work! Sam
  13. Ditto what Harry said. Great model! The tunneled headlights are cool, and the color looks great! Sam
  14. My 1/12 scale teardrop trailer is scratch built from plywood, basswood, balsa, aluminum flashing skin, styrene window frames. The lawn chair, picnic table, fire ring, and cooler are from scratch, too. It's all on a campground diorama with my Monogram 1/12 scale 57 Chevy. The figure is resin, from the dollhouse section of eBay.
  15. Very nice Plymouth! Great color scheme. Mid-60's Mopars are cool! Sam
  16. Here's one of mine. I don't do many in black, but I saw a photo of a 59 Vette like this and liked it.
  17. Beautiful model! The color scheme is perfect, and well done. The photos with the doors open look like you could climb in and drive away! Great work! Sam
  18. Simply amazing work, John! Great job on the whole project! Sam
  19. Whoa! That's insane, but really cool! Very creative, and well done! Sam
