  1. Great model! Nice color, and well done all around! Sam
  2. Nice Firebird! Great color, and engine detail. I like those 1st generation Firebirds. Yours is a beauty! Sam
  3. Great job on the Bonnie! Great paint, interior, and foil work! It's good to see those old kits being built up like this! Sam
  4. Very cool truck! I like the wooden seat built around the stock cushion. Great weathering - looks like it had a hard life on the farm! Sam
  5. I had a Ross Barracuda - couldn't afford a Sting Ray. My sons found this one in an abandoned stone quarry about 15 years ago. It was green and beat to heck. I fixed it up and they rode it for a while. They grew up and moved out and left it in my basement. In 2011, I dug it out and rebuilt it into this rat bike. I ride it around town for fun now. The neighborhood kids think it's cool.
  6. Truck and boat are both beauties! Very nicely done. Great colors. What a deal for $5.00! Sam
  7. Harry, who makes those kits? Is there a website? Sam
  8. Great build, Terry! I built a couple of those when I was about 12 or 13 too. They had just come out with that double T kit then. Mine didn't look near as good as this one, though! Nice work! Sam
  9. That is REALLY nice! Great conversion, excellent weathering! No wonder your coworkers thought it was real! Great work! Sam
  10. Wayne, here's a pic of the interior during the build. Those decals went on easily, and I like the look of them. Pharoah, the skirts are from an old AMT 57 Ford from the 1960's. I shortened them a little. Sam
  11. Nice Dodge! The color is great, and the interior looks real. Nice work! Sam
  12. Very nice build, and a great way to honor your grandpa. Nice color and foil work! Sam
  13. I'm not sure if it's real or a model, but it needs more decals. There is still a square millimeter or two not covered!
  14. Hi, all. My first build of the year is this 57 Ford from the new Revell kit. It's all stock except for a pair of fender skirts. The finish is Krylon in a color called celery. It looked close to Ford's Willow Green from 1957, so I used it. Testors wet look clear was sprayed over it. The whitewalls were painted with an acrylic paint marker. Interior is an olive green with the kit decals on the seats and side panels. This is a beautiful kit - well designed and made. It went together well except that the hood will only open a tiny bit without binding up at the front. It was fine until I made the final assembly. Maybe I didn't get the radiator quite right. Here are some pics. Sorry for the dark pics. My camera settings were a little off. I enjoyed this build. I hope you like it. Comments welcome. Sam
  15. Try Micro Fasteners. They're in Lebanon, NJ. They have stuff down to 0-80 size. Sam
  16. Incredible build, Harry! All that striping - Wow! I would have gone nuts! I can't imagine going 3,000 miles in one of those! We really do have it good today, don't we? Great model! BTW, I had an ancestor that was killed by a runaway stagecoach. I don't know where or when exactly, probably early 1800's somewhere here in central PA. Sam
  17. Excellent builds! It's good to see the old AMT annuals being saved. Nice work on all the builds! Sam
  18. I love the Nomad and the 62 Pontiac, but they're all beauties! Very good work on all of them! Sam
  19. Nice job on a rare Mopar! You don't see many Desoto's - real or model anymore. Good work! Sam
  20. Nice Vette! Great engine detail and paint. The flames look good! Sam
  21. Great model, Mark! Really good detail for such a small scale. Very nice work! Sam
  22. Wow! Randy, that came out nice! Great color and foil work. I'm right behind you on my build in a pale green color. I was going to use the blackwall tires, but I liked your wide whites, so I painted the kit tire sidewalls. I have a set of fender skirts from an AMT 57 kit from the 1960's, and I might put them on this one. Back in the day, skirts were so popular that you would see them even on low line sedans, wagons, and even on pickup trucks! I think their owners thought the skirts gave their cars a more "highline" look. Sam
  23. Looking good! The engine detail is amazing! My 63 year old eyes would have serious trouble doing that work! Sam
  24. Very nice build! Great color, and I like that long shifter! Engine detail is really good, too! Sam
  25. Great build! Those Judges were so cool! Sam
