  1. Now that's real ingenuity! Great idea, and great work! Sam
  2. Wow! That lathe is amazing! GREAT work! Using Lego's = genius! Sam
  3. Very nice builds! That 56 is a tough kit to build. I also built one (poorly) in the 1960's and another one about four years ago. It's still a fiddly kit to make everything fit. Nice job on the rear window! Sam
  4. Very nice, clean build. Good paint and foil work! The whitewalls look good. They were still around in 1964. Sam
  5. That's an insane build, John! If anyone can pull it off, it's you! Good work so far. Sam
  6. That's how a hot rod 32 Ford should look! Excellent work! Sam
  7. Wow! Great conversion! I'm eager to see it finished. Good work so far. Sam
  8. Best post ever! Seriously, that's a great model, really well done! I bet it wouldn't stay clean and shiny like that for long in real life! Sam
  9. I had one stolen once. I built a 1967 Comet Cyclone as a funny car back in 1967. I altered the wheelbase and built a tubular frame from sections of sprue - did lots of scratch building on it, painted it metallic purple. It was the best model I had ever built back then. I had it in a hobby show at a local fair, along with about five other models. They won first prize, but when I went to take the models home, the Comet was gone. The displays were locked behind chicken wire, so no spectator took it. It had to be one of the other exhibitors. Of course, the people in charge of watching the displays saw and knew nothing! I never saw that model again.
  10. Very nice! Looks like it made many runs in its lifetime. Good work! Sam
  11. Great looking Pontiac! I like to see the old annuals built up and preserved. Great paint, and I wouldn't worry about the wheel well gaps. That's how a lot of kits were back then. You're right about Revell. Some of their kits were pretty crummy in the 1960's, but now they have many of the best ones available. Sam
  12. Great work on this 58! I like the colors and the foil work is great. nice job! Sam
  13. Wow! That's some impressive scratch building work! Very nice model. The wood really looks good! Sam
  14. Simply amazing model! Excellent work! It looks absolutely real! Sam
  15. Charlie, The marker is called a "Painters" opaque marker made by Elmer's, the white glue people. It doesn't actually say it's acrylic on the marker. I assumed it was, since Elmer's glue products are all water based. I think I got it at Walmart. Sam
  16. Great job on a rare model! Nice to see an old Merc like that. Good job on the rebuild! Sam
  17. Nice models! You did an amazing job on the 63 Chevy! What a transformation! Good looking Manx and police car, too! Sam
  18. Excellent work on the Fiat! Great detail, and nice finish! Good work! Sam
  19. Anthony, the skirts are from an old AMT 57 Ford from the 1960's. I shortened them by about 1/4". Sam
  20. Cool truck! The two tone colors are a great touch! Good work on the suspension mods, too! Sam
  21. Beautiful 57! Great finish, and I like the Plymouth wheel covers. Great work, and a nice tribute to your dad. Sam
  22. Very nice Impala! The color is just right, and great foil work! One thing I noticed: On the last photo with the hood open, it looks like the right windshield wiper is missing. Did it come off when you opened the hood? I've done that more than once! Sam
  23. Thanks, everyone for the nice compliments. I really appreciate them, especially the ones on my foil work. I'm new to the BMF world. This Ford is only about the fifth model I've ever foiled - always used silver paint before. Thanks again! Sam
  24. Very nice Ranchero! Great color choice. The Falcon Ranchero is one of my favorite models. Nice work! Sam
  25. Great classic Deuce! Very well done, looks good in red. Sam
