  1. Great work so far, Tomo! It's good to see an old kit saved. I like the wrap-around window idea - kind of like the old Studebaker Starlite coupes. Sam
  2. Looks good! I like the weathering too. Makes it look real. Very good work! Sam
  3. Great Merc! I like the two tone paint, and the engine detail is excellent! Nice work! Sam
  4. Nice cars, all of them! Great scratch building work! Sam
  5. Ed, I've always admired your great gas station dioramas, and this one is a work of art! Is that fiberglass cloth and epoxy covering? And those shingles must have taken forever to put on! Great work! The place has real character. Sam
  6. Looks great! Very nice clean build with good detailing! Sam
  7. Very well done model. It reminds me of Steve McGarrett's car in the original Hawaii 5-0 TV show, although I think that was a Mercury. The wooden base is classy. Good work! Sam
  8. Man, that is NICE! The bodywork, the paint, the wheels, the engine - all just about perfect! Excellent work!! Sam
  9. Great clean build! The interior looks like you could crawl in and drive away! The magazine on the seat is a nice touch. Great paint and engine detail, too! Sam
  10. Tulio, that is a beautiful model! It looks very real in the photos with that diorama. Nice color, and the chassis detail is amazing for a one piece molded part! I have that same Galaxie kit I built in the 1960's. I like the simple kits, too. Sam
  11. I've used 3/16" thick foamboard for walls on several dioramas. It's easy to cut with an X-acto knife and a metal straightedge. It takes paint well, or can be covered with brick paper, and it's fairly cheap. I use cheap underlayment 1/4" plywood for things like garage floors and sidewalks. Sam
  12. Nice Mustang! You don't see many of that style and year. Foil looks good! Maybe you could grind a thin spot with a Dremel tool in the underside of the hood to make it fit better. Or use a thinner air cleaner? Sam
  13. Wow! Amazing build! Great detailing, and good work on the doors and trunk. The model box in the trunk is a very cool detail! Sam

Clean and nice Ford! I like the colors. Good work! Sam
  15. Great build! The color suits it. It looks like a "Grandpa" car that would lure you into a stoplight drag race, then kick your butt! Nice work! Sam
  16. Great looking Plymouth! I agree it's nice to see one that's not red. The foil work must have kept you busy! Good job on it and the whole car! Sam
  17. Nice! Great colors and wheels. Mean stance, too! Good work! Sam
  18. Great job and great photos. I thought the second pic was a reference photo of a 1:1 Lotus! Very nice! Sam
  19. What a piece of junk! And I mean that as a compliment! Bullet holes, broken glass, flat tires, all nice touches of realism. Well done! Sam
  20. Very good build of an unusual subject. Great color and engine detail. Very nice work on this! Sam
  21. Very nice diorama! The lights really make it look real. Good work! Sam
  22. That's gotta be the best looking Cameo I've seen! Just beautiful! Great interior and the hood hinge is amazing! Sam
  23. Ditto what he said! Body color is great too! Sam
  24. Great woodworking job! Are the wheel rims laminated from thin strips of balsa? Sam
  25. Great job on the model! WARNING - In eight more years she'll want you to buy her a real one like that! The paint looks great - can't believe it's brushed on! Nice work, both of you! Sam
