  1. Thanks, Tim! You're selling yourself short on your brass work. The J looks fantastic to me!
  2. Great pics Paul. Thanks for driving, buddy! Joe, it was a pleasure to meet you and look forward to seeing you in Salt Lake. Seth, I looked around for you, but hopefully we'll see you soon at a local show. So many great models to see, and thanks to all who patronized my Pro Tech dealer table, and special thanks to Pro Tech Charlie for his support. Art
  3. They turned out great, John!!
  4. Danno, John, Chris, Jonathan- Thanks for looking guys. I have been making progress, but not much to show. I replaced all the 1/16 tubing I had used for the tie rod spuds on the axle and frame with 3/64. I wasn't entirely happy with the thicker tube, but was willing to use it because I didn't know I would find thinner tubing. But I stumbled across some 3/64 tubing that is more to scale, so replaced all those spuds. I'm hoping to get back on it after the NNL West this weekend. -Art
  5. Crazy awesome. Tim, your humility is noble, but Dude, this is top 1 percent stuff. Thank you for sharing it with us.
  6. Great stuff, Ira! Can't wait to see them.
  7. Wow, what a rebuild! You're doing really nice work on this one. It'll be one to be proud of, for sure.
  8. Really neat project, Bill, and you're doing a great job on it!
  9. Thanks, guys!
  10. Michael, I have started thinking about the paint. Right now I'm thinking that I'm going to paint the chassis with Alclad Gunmetal, and clear that with Omni urethane clear. First, I'll clean it real well, then use some self-etching primer. I'm sure I'll be filling in some areas and hitting it with some Tamiya primer too while doing the clean up. That's what I'm thinking, anyway, but open to suggestions...
  11. John, Being your friend and seeing your work so often, I always think I tend to get a little jaded and harder to impress because I expect to see great work from you. But I am really impressed with this jet drive. I'm blown away... Art
  12. Thanks, Ira! I plan to be there. Can't wait to see your latest creations!
  13. Kevin, Thank you very much. This is my first crack at a brass project, and it's a lot of fun. -Art
  14. Randy/Tim, To see what you guys are doing and then get affirmation like this from you both is really inspiring. Thanks for watching and commenting. It keeps me going...
  15. Thanks, Seth!
  16. Very cool stuff, Bernard!
  17. I'm loving every bit of it! The rudders were nice, but the jet drive sets it off! Nice work, John.
  18. Got more done on the front. It's not quite buttoned up, but it's getting real close.
  19. Man, Art, I would love to see that! Bob Higman's #55 that Kenny Schrader used to drive was a one of my favorite cars in it's era. My family knew Bob a little bit. When my stopmom's dad sold Halibrand Engineering, Bob ended up with the rights to the midget division.
  20. Tim, thanks for inquiring! I just about have the front end fabbed up. I should have some pics to post up tomorrow.
