  1. Outstanding work, Tim. I can't get enough. -Art
  2. Got back to California today from my first trip to the NNL East, courtesy of my very "Cool" wife, as confirmed by the Tri-State Club! What a great show. I'm so glad we were able to make it out. I want to thank Donn Yost, Kathie, John Snider and friends for making us feel like old friends. Your hospitality was incredible. Really nice to meet you too, Kris, and I'll be in touch. I also want to thank Tom Geiger and the whole Tri-State Scale Model Car Club for not only producing a great show, but for the special award presented to my wife, Lisa! You guys are great! We both look forward to coming back. I really enjoyed meeting some of our East Coast MCM members as well. I appreciate all of you that came up to meet us and put faces to names. And finally, you guys on the Right Coast build some great models! -Art
  3. Thanks, Brad! Being at the table most of the day, there's a lot I didn't get to see, but I'm really glad I got to see the Scout. The details in that are so cool! I can't wait to see you finish it.
  4. To echo everyone's sentiments, my wife and I really had a great time as well. Seeing our desert buddies is always a treat, and getting to meet Randy D. was a pleasure. Man, are his creations masterful! But there were a lot of stunning builds out there as well. The whole Cactus Modelers club did such a great job and vending went very well also. Thanks to everybody who picked up some of Pro Tech Charlie's great parts from me. I really did appreciate it. Looking forward to next year! -Art
  5. Great updates, JC! That's really nice work you're doing.
  6. It's building up to be a great one. Really looking forward to it! -Art
  7. Brad, I've missed a few updates, and shame on me because it looks absolutely amazing. My midget will be hanging out with this and Randy's build too. Too many models, too little time... See you next weekend! Art
  8. You did it justice, Johnny! Great job.
  9. Paul, that's a lot of parts! I always wanted to see a ship like this go together because I am intrigued how they are laid out inside. I'll be watching!
  10. Good stuff. Welcome, Leonard!
  11. You're killing it, man! That embossing powder looks great. Did you paint it, or was it that color?
  12. Haha, well, yeah... just a little... Continuing the great work, Randy!
  13. Nice work, John. Even with restraint, the results are fantastic.
  14. Nice job, Carlos. The weathering and abuse look spot on.
  15. Thanks, Tony!
  16. Tim, I think you said it when you stated you weren't building a model. I'm pretty sure it's a Swiss watch! The precision is unbelievable. And thanks for sharing your education with the rest of us... -Art
  17. Thanks for the comments, guys! I don't care who you are, that's funny right there... :D
  18. That's what I get for doing it at 1:00 AM. All fixed! Am I in the club now?
  19. Thank you, Seth. Looking forward to pictures!
  20. Haha, well it just might be upside down. I tried it the other way and it didn't seem to fit, so I turned it around. But it's a snap kit, so I can easily turn it around if that's the case! Thanks for looking, guys.

    '55 Chevy

I needed to do a paint test to see if I could avoid some ghosting issues I experienced previously, so I pulled out a 1/32 scale '55 Chevy Snap Kit I had in the stash to paint the body and see how it went. It came out great, so I decided to just build the whole car this week. Doing that I was able to get some foiling practice and Alclad practice too!
