  1. Nice build, Chuck! Especially in a weekend!
  2. Thanks, Guys., I'm making some progress on it. I got the paint on it, and then the decals. Clear is up next. The Indycals decals came with some stripes that are actually quite nice, but I decided to see how gold BMF would work. Not perfect, but I'm satisfied with it. Of course, the tape lines were all fairly sharp, except where there was no stripe between the two colors. I masked it off and repainted a sharper line.
  3. Cool subject, Brian. Nice work!
  4. Very nice build, Tom!
  5. Randy and I exchanged PMs in the last couple of weeks. He's fine, he's just been busy with some projects around the house. Hopefully he'll be back soon!
  6. Curt, That sounds like a blast! I'm definitely up for that. Thanks! Art
  7. I agree with the post above. What an amazing piece of model art, Tim! It's been a great journey to follow along with and I look forward to the home stretch!
  8. Tim, Definitely never thought you were a knucklehead! But no apology necessary and I am grateful you mentioned it. I now see it on every photo and I think it would be a neat detail to add. Art
  9. I saw that you went there on the post on your F5000 thread and have to admit, I was jealous! That must have been awesome. Thanks for looking, Curt!
  10. Tom, Seth, thanks for looking, guys!
  11. Whoa, Tim! Is that a subtle hint? Because, honestly, I didn't notice the naca ducts. But now that you pointed them out, they stick out like a sore thumb! I will absolutely be adding them! It just shows what a good eye for detail you have.
  12. Thanks, JC! You should have bid on it. You could do it justice for sure. Kevin K. still has some if you really want one.
  13. Welsome, Nate! Hope you can get involved in some of the So Cal shows.
  14. Indeed it was. The same one John Teresi replicated.
  15. This is going to be cool, JC!
  16. And finally, starting some assembly!
  17. I stole the U-joints for the half shafts from a Corvette rear end. I polished up the white metal oil tank that came with the kit and dipped it in Future to try to keep it from tarnishing over time. I also put some bungs in it so I can add oil lines later.
  18. I'm still making progress on this one, a little at a time. Actually, I have a lot of time in the body prep, but not a lot to show there yet. But here are some random photos of some work. Drilled out some openings for seat belts. I also drilled a hole on the body in an inconspicuous place and inserted a wooden dowel to hold it for painting. The only calipers I had that might work for the rear are not quite the right shape, so I reshaped them a little. This one is still a little rough in this shot.
  19. Very cool, Mark! That's my kind of subject. It's amazing what can be done with a Snap Kit in the right hands.
