Ok, I'm from NE Ohio. -
Thanks guys.

The were sold as a set. The four boxes shown above originally came in one box.

How Cool Is That? Welcome Paul. I would keep at least one as built for memory.

Welcome Matt, what part of Ohio? -
matching interior color to exterior color
AzTom replied to tubbs's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
The post above by SfanGoch has the link to Auto color Library, check it out. I'm too slow, I don't get too detailed on the interiors so I normally just paint them with a flat paint, sometimes cheap craft paint airbrushed, and then dull or semi gloss coated. -
Thanks Todd. This enamel so it will cure for about a week before I finish it up.

Yet another paint question re: clear coats

Here is an example why I like spraying spoons. Minneapolis Moline used two different yellows and you sure can't get it right based on the cap color. -
I have some from Mohr and SpecCast also. Got some paint on it. Thanks for looking.

I missed this post thinking it was a duplicate. I see now this one is farther along. Looking good.

I have one sealed in the box that I planned on doing but just too many other projects planned

The orange would be ok if you put State Dept decals on it. The industrial yellow is not the same yellow as the farm tractors yellow. Do you have the built on here?
-
That did not work. I thought about putting a glass bead in it while it was open to try that but got side tracked cleaning the mess up. Those are small neck bottles.

It is a Hayes dual disc clutch and a Lenco a direct drive in-out box.

Ok, I had to go check this out because just bought a set of the Panzer colors. Mine are in the little bottles with a squirt type top. I shook the bottle of Sand Yellow for quite a while and an tried it on a primered spoon. It did cover but not the best. I popped the squirt top out and stirred it with a tiny screwdriver, it definitely needed that. The next attempt went on quite well and even covered well over the bare plastic spoon handle, if it sticks may be another story. I used a Red Sable brush I had mine laying one their side in the tray they came in but that did make a it messy stirring it up. I now have them standing up. I'll have to give it a Thumbs Up.

The Goodyear store had most of the kits mentioned but none on sale.

Hey Mike, i never got into that type of racing but I can say that is a great start. Looking forward to when you get back on it. -
Thanks guys, The primer is Dupli-color Self etching primer. it does bite the metal quite well and it a must if you are doing diecast .Back in the old days you had to prep aluminum with a two step acid rocess. I have used other brands but like the Dupli-color the best. Todd, You have to be a farm toy guys to know this is a Wally Hooker Cottonwood model. I have known Armand for over ten years. He builds some of the best brass stuff I have ever seen.

I bought an alps 5000 new several years ago and only used it to make about three sheets of decals. I should dig it out but I don't even have a computer it will run on now.

Congratulations! I retired nine yrs ago so I know about pinching pennies. I plan of ripping into one of the kits the day they get here, lol. I'll post it here.

Nothing on sale at the Goodyear AZ store today.

The TG is plain red. These retail $149.00, send me a note if your looking. I talked to them about the front axle assembly and they said they are checking in to it. They did the wheels and engine as well as a kit version. I would think the kits would be here soon.
