  1. Thanks dragzz. I'm finishing the other one up today.
  2. Here is the Aurocar. I could not find one photo of this Winross truck anywhere. I decided to paint it John Deere green and yellow for my shop service truck.
  3. Thanks Chuck, I will try both on a piece of chrome sprue and see what looks best. Both of my trucks were used when I had them so the flat may be best. Your truck looks like some of them we see out here still on the job sites.
  4. Very Nice! I'm working on a 1/64 Winross in the diecast section.
  5. I decided to just paint the new cab for the Genesee Gas & Electric truck blue. These trucks are rather rare so at least for now it's done. The White 3000 Utility truck is now red and off white. The red is Createx acrylic and the white is Model Masters Lacquer Phoenician yellow. Clear coated with Dupli-Color Acrylic Lacquer.
  6. Cool. What is a good method of making the grill look more like the aluminum? I was thinking of trying to clear coat it with a satin clear.
  7. Sounds cool. Hope to see the photos
  8. The next one is a black FBI car
  9. Received an email from Andy's Hobby about a new show "Hi everyone, I will be putting on a model show , contest and vendor expo on Febuary 20, 2016. It is going to include all kinds of catagories including , ARMOR, AIRCRAFT, AUTOMOBILES, SCI FI , SHIPS, DIORAMAS AND MORE. This contest will not have judges rather this will be a builders choice contest. This should be lots of fun and it will be free general admission The contest portion will be only $10 for the first 5 models and $2.00 each additional . We will have lots of fun raffles. We already have some big sponsors, Tamiya USA, Squadron.com, Great planes,Revell and more are sure to follow."
  10. Hey! Tell everyone I said HELLO! Miss you guys, Tom
  11. Nice. I can not wait for the 41 Willys!
  12. I used the Createx paint on this Hubley then clear coated it. I thought it was about the easiest paint I have ever used, love it. I also use the cheaper craft paints for interiors and such but it is in no way the quality of the Createx paints. Got me a trophy at the DSC model show
  13. I am aware of that. The 69 still should have the groove across the center, that would be painted red IF it were the Ranger. The model has the rounded center bar like a 68 grill.
  14. I agree on using the paid accounts. I use Fotki also. NOW! Has anyone had issues uploading photos to Fotki? I keep everything updated on my computer. The last few days I have been getting Security Alerts from Java and couldn't load photos. After a few days of messing with it I did figure it out. Here is the alert. ........ Rats! I just tried loading this photo to Fotki and it failed again, had to add a third exception.
  15. Doesn't bother me any. When I'm done with mine it is going to be the best model I can build and when I look at it in the show case it will remind me of the real 68 F-100 I once owned.
  16. Nice reviews Chris
  17. After looking at the grill with a magnifying glass, the 69 kit actually has a 68 grill without the black-out paint. The 69 would have a grove in the center bar that would be painted red on the Ranger models. I am not bashing the grill as it would have been crazy to issue two grills for the 68-69 trucks. I painted one with some flat black to get the 68 look.
  18. Very nice!
  19. Hey, That may be the one I sold, lol I had two so I'll be watching this one. I like it so far.
