  1. Exactly. I have seen a few Styrene tube chassis built on the Large Scale forum and they seemed fine. Dwayne appeared to want to build in Styrene as long as it was possible. If it is going to be a street driven Camaro then the body should easily help support the car as a unit, has to fasten to the chassis somewhere. I love working with brass myself but it is not always required.
  2. Mike, those wheels look great. The cars also look great.
  3. So it was Scale Motorsport, as mentioned above. One problem with their sets was, although they were labeled 1969, some were 1970. I don't remember the details but I do remember talking to them and they didn't seem to care. I still have few set here someplace.
  4. Fred Cady did make several sets of 1/18 decals, although the 69 Camaro set had some incorrect emblems. I have also seen some other 1/18 decals on ebay but have never used any of them. I know a few people worked on decal sheets of emblems but I don't think they were ever done. I would buy some for sure. Find someone with an Alps printer and see if they will make you some. There is a Yahoo Group on Alps printers that may be a good place to start .. or I can fix you up with your own Alps printer As for parts there are some out there but probably will never be what you see in 1/25. Even as big as 1/18 is you only have a small percentage customizing them and most of those and made into race cars. Scale Motorsport ??? (I think that was the name) made some PE sets for the 69 and 70-71 Camaro's but they never sold well at all.
  5. I have used both brass and plastic. If you are on the Icoc Z Camaro the body is going to be some reinforcement. In my opinion, plastic tubing would be fine. Like mentioned above if you do detect a week spot inset wire inside the tube.
  6. The interior looks great. Really like how you kept the dash flat. I think that is the same blue my 82 F-150 had
  7. I got a tracking number from Mega Hobby for the 71 and the MK 69.
  8. Nice! Google How to Weather wood. I saw several on Pinterest that used household items.
  9. Cool! Did you visit Tom-C-Toys?
  10. Very Nice!
  11. The last issue had the vinyl top. Are some of these Stevens Int. exclusives? If so they should receive some credit for bringing these back.
  12. Very nice. If I ever find Ansen rims in 1/12 and some wide tires I'll start mine.
  13. What does the GSL actually stand for? If that show was like in June - Aug it would sure look better to me. I don't think I want to take the chance of seeing snow
  14. Either way would be nice. I have a JF 1/43 truck box similar to yours that I need to do.
  15. Great wagon for a great memorial.
  16. Welcome Mike, I'm originally from Garrettsville.
  17. Good looking truck box. Have you decided on the use? Would make a cool Street Rod Shop parts truck.
  18. It does look like a great kit. Having owned two 1:1 Ford pickups it is a must have for me. So far I have one of each coming. My wife is good with it, she gave up several thousand pieces ago,lol
  19. That is nice. I had a real 1973 that was light blue metallic.
  20. Thanks Lance, I'm adding two new show cases and want to build a photo taking scene for on top of them.
  21. Very nice, Lance. I never picked up any of the altered wheel base cars, may have put one on my list. What is the brick back drop. That's one thing I want to build.
