  1. Franklin Mint made a 1/24 diecast, Yatming made a 1/18 and a 1/43 diecast and they all sold well. They certainly should be able to sell a plastic kit.

Thanks David. I got the body clear coated and the chrome back on. I also blacked out the chrome window trim as it should be rubber only.

I took the "Power" off the valve covers and added plug wires and fuel lines. Changed the rear bumper to a pipe push bar. Thanks for looking
  4. Thanks David. I have a Texaco one here somewhere that the Grandson played with.
  5. Great start. Going to follow this one for sure.
  6. Very nice! Did you figure out what scale these are?
  7. Love all the photos. I too have a habit of snapping some photos of cool old trucks. Saw this in Bishop CA a few years ago. Near Yarnell AZ

  9. Love these. I too have a bunch. West of Denver on I-70 in the Rockies.
  10. Yep, North of Twinsburg. I grew up in Garrettsville Oh, NE of Akron, then moved here in 2006.
  11. That does look great. How tricky is getting the tissue on? I have the Guillow's DC3 with a 35 in wingspan that I hope to build someday.

Thanks on the hinges. I'm changing the rear bumper on this one so I can use it on the front of the stock one. The wheels will be from a Henry J.
  14. I like the colors. I have been playing with some Folk Art paint but not the pearl colors. It's hard to see in the photos, does the copper top fade to the black down the sides or is there a defined cut line? It's a sedan delivery for the record.

That's too easy, lol I did that on the last one. I did some more detailing on the engine tonight. My next one is going to be convert it back to stock. I have a flat four from a Willys Jeep hat should work. 16. David, I followed a real one just like that onto the I-10 today.
  17. Turned out great David. I had to study that last photo by the pool to see if it was the model or the real car. Northfield is north of Akron along Rt 8 almost to Cleveland. If I was still there I would have to try that casino, lol
  18. I built this several years ago and never did get it weathered. Looking forward to seeing this one done. I really like the shop made cab. I'm not sure if you are being period correct but the color you have looks like the newer cat paint, after 1979. The D8H ended around 1974.

This is my next project now that I'm finally getting my shop back together. 1/18 scale diecast 41 Willys. This is going to be a simple repaint and some small detailing.
  22. Randy, this is awesome. I saw it at DSC and was even more impressed. Having done some brass work I wish I could have met you there.
