  1. AMT from around the 1990's through at least 2006 did not send out parts. You took the kit back to the store you bough it for replacement.
  2. Looks Great!
  3. I said nothing against the NYT or the reporter. The reporter was interviewing a model retailer, not Danbury or Franklin Mint. Bottom line, it is all just hearsay.
  4. That story is from a retailer. I have read similar stories from a different diecast company that is now gone but they were in trouble long before the said confiscation of tooling. They also lost property here in the US. It would be interesting to hear the other side of the "Our tooling was confiscated" story. Danbury and Franklin were also in trouble before the "lost tooling" reports ... just saying.
  5. I should have been more clear. I wanted to point out that this company was "NOT amateur youtube stupidity" The Reynolds Advanced Materials, a division of Smooth-On has been around since the 60's, and as stated above Smooth-On has been around forever. I sold and used a lot of Smooth-On when I had the store in Ohio and thought it to be a great product. Nothing beats hands on .... plus you get a starter kit and they feed you.
  6. I think the provided link will be on right track. Thanks for posting the link. I had them bookmarked as the local supplier for Smooth-On. "Reynolds Advanced Materials, a division of Smooth-On Inc., is a leading distributor of mold making and casting materials. They have been around since the 60's?
  7. Welcome Brad, Another Sunshine dude on the west side of Phoenix.
  8. They can also be found in 1/43 diecast by Yat Ming, Solido, Matchbox/Dinky and Brooklin.
  9. I found my info, they were supposed to be 1/34 scale but Ertl labeled them as 1/43 in error. I remember talking to Ertl about this when they were new and they had issues getting it corrected. Ironically they did also make a true 1/43 scale van as well. Golden Wheels made a 1/36 scale step van that measures a good 8 inches long. It has the newer hood style.
  10. This truck is definitely not 1/24 scale. I would have to do some checking but if I remember correctly it is 1/38 scale.
  11. Well Well, We meet again! Welcome Brian, you will like it here. Glad to have you back in the hobby. Tom
  12. It is Ertl and was sold as such. The kit came out a few years after the built version. They both sell for good money last I checked. It you want the correct Daisy mags for it, you can find them on a dark green Corvette.
  13. Welcome Brian I understood it as Greenlight was the money behind it.
  14. Those brought good money at one time. You can find the built FM 57's cheap that you can get the engine from. I would think any 1/24 kit engine would work just fine as well.
  15. Looks great!
  16. I like it! Get some mud on it,lol
  17. Very Nice!
  18. Side by side the M2 is a much nicer truck
  19. I have these but they are dried up.
  20. Nice. The HW 110% cars are good looking Cobra's.
  21. NICE!
  22. Very Nice.
  23. You actually got solder to stick to that diecast? I have been successful using epoxie or JB Weld.
  24. Very nice. Gets tricky keeping all the joints together at this point
  25. I'm looking forward to seeing it. I sure hope I will get something done by then.
