  1. That's the issue I have had. I bought about 75 cans of fresh new stuff in 2006 and in a few years saw several cans seeping out around the seam. Testors replaced about 20 cans but told me they were actually past the use date. I was in my box today and noticed more cans had seeped out. I guess I need to start painting more, lol
  2. Just noticed something. They call this a 1949 and it has a 12 volt battery?
  3. That is truly Awesome! I think Cuda used that type of muffler.
  4. I hope so. I sold a lot of stuff and talked a lot doing so, just don't have any idea if they are on here, other than the local club members. I know most of them. I have a thing for those Cobra's as well.
  5. Thanks Danno. Sales were up so all is good, lol It seemed to by rather fast and I didn't get to play as much as usual. I hope to be back to the building track for next year.
  6. My big concern about this location would be, if we had a storm like we had a few years ago, it could be a disaster.
  7. Nice! Sorry I missed you at the model show. Tom
  8. Tim, I missed you too. Hope to see you next year. I wish I had had more time to view the models. I only got a few photos this year.
  9. Looking good! Is this an Ertl?
  10. Very Nice! Those are nice trucks to start with and the added details really brings it out.
  11. I too want to thank the group for a great show and enjoyed seeing everyone. We were busy selling most of the day and although I met a lot of new builders I don't know if they are on here. I hope we can get a badge system for next year.
  12. I will be at the Desert Model Show. I'm looking forward to seeing the new Hobby Town as this is the first year for the show to be there.
  13. Tom, the bumps look great.. Are you guys sure these are Maisto ..... all I could find was Jada. Ertl made a 1/25 but it does not have any opening parts.
  14. What scale are these. I was not even aware that Maisto even made a 57 Suburban. I usually shy away from Maisto as few are actually 1/25 - 1/24.
  15. Lance, As for the hand saws, I use a 32 tooth per in Coping saw for rough cuts and a Jewelers saw with #3 blade for small precise cuts. If I need industrial duty cutting I get out the power tools. This one also has a flex shaft to use Dremel bits.
  16. Sorry about that, I do remember you, just the moving part was wrong. Have you seen the 55 Chevy wagon I made out of the sedan delivery?
  17. I was thinking of trying the JF resin Suburban body on one of the 4x4 chassis
  18. And a dust mask. It looks like you only need to remove the bottom one.
  19. They should move photos that are being posted on sites like this to a separate folder for that site. Just saying!
  20. Welcome Lance! I thought you were moving to Sodona. I like this one .. More wagons!
  21. Similar to the one above, Old record player needles installed in a pin vise makes a great scribe / punch. They are made of a pretty hard metal and will last a long time. There is a company that make sandpaper on a roll that is about 1.5 in wide, design to stick on aluminum sanding blocks. I cut a piece about 4 in long of each grit and stick to my bench mat along one side.
  22. Looks great David..
  23. I think is more related to how long it's been on the shelf than how it was made. At Hobby Lobby here you really have to check them close. I have never like the Testors 1/4 oz square bottled paint but really like the Model Masters line by Testors in the round 1/2 oz bottles. I got a small can of paint hardener from the tractor supply store and add a few drops of that to the enamels and it dries way faster and harder.
