  1. I think you will do better than I would have anyway.
  2. I think it is the same, the 68 and 69. The 68 has the vertical bars painted flat black. The first photo I posted is a close-up to see how it is painted. This photo is the entire grill and the 4x4 photos shows how it makes the horizontal bars float.
  3. That looks awesome! I have been using the digital camera as a great tool for about ten years now. I was doing a WIP and after a lot of putty and sanding I took a photo of what I thought was the end of that step. When I saw the photos on the computer I couldn't believe how far I was from it being finished. I'm starting to miss this kit,
  4. Thanks, That is a good question. The crane truck will be painted a two tone but haven't decided on colors. The Service truck with cover, I was thinking on the lines of an electrical co. I have been looking of photos of original Winross trucks but have been unable to find this one. The Gas and Electric truck may just get touched up and a blue cab. I did get them cleaned up and shot the Self Etching primer on the all this morning.
  5. Very nice, Lance. I like them all,LOL. I just ordered four additional glass shelves for my cabinets so I'll have sixteen more feet of display
  6. To get the 68 grill, here is how you paint the 69 grill. This photo has the Ranger emblem, missing the insert. I'm going to try and make one of those out of Styrene.
  7. Too bad you didn't find the MCM forum earlier, all this has been brought up at least once.
  8. Sorry, I misread your first post, 69 though 72. ......... COOL!
  9. Dang! Why are these always a secret?
  10. Thanks but you mean 71 right? That would be sad if they didn't consider the 68, 70 and 72. Those grills in different versions would boost sales.
  11. You do want to use the self etching primer as the first coat. I normally use Dupli-color but have used others . I have done a few hundred diecast models and have NEVER had any issues. Dupli-color has a good filler primer that will help with small rough areas. Epoxie is great for filling in missing chunks.
  12. LOL, you are kidding right? I got both kits and they look good to me. I found pretty good photos of the 68 grill, after a lot of searching, if anyone needs them. It looks like you can easily make a 68, which is what I needed. I still need to come up with a Ranger emblem. Anyone know if a 70 is being planned in the future?
  13. Sorry, I didn't see that mentioned. That looks like a nicely detailed model.
  14. My next project. These trucks were assembled as kits from parts that were sold upon the closing of Winross several years ago. I bought them at the Toledo show around that time. They are 1/64 scale diecast. The first one is an Autocar crane truck. This is the White 3000 with a utility service type bed. This White is an original old one missing the cab. I bought a new cab for it. I am debating on vacuum forming some windows for them although Winross never did.
  15. Very nice. My first new van was a 1975. This one is on my bucket list. I was hoping the "On the workbench" would have been more active.
  16. I like the look of the old wood but agree that it would look out of place the the perfect paint job.
  17. Look very nice. I am not an expert on Herbie but Hotwheels recently made a high detailed 1/43 and a 1/18 that looks correct. Johnny Lightning also made a 1/18 several years ago.
  18. Nice! I enjoy redoing one more than building one from a kit.
  19. Check out this 69 427 SOHC Pro-Touring. Great photos of the complete build. http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1294317-69-f100-427-sohc-pro-touring-build.html
  20. Very nice. I put a false bottom in drawer and drilled it full of holes for the bits. The problem is they not as easy to see.
  21. I don't think the OP was serious ............ at least I hope not.
  22. Good start Chuck. Athearn makes some nice JD and Ertl made some very nice Farmall 806? back around 2001. They also made some nice old semi trucks, mirrors, hand rails .. very detailed. I have them if you want photos.
  23. Very nice! I really like the vintage look. I've been sketching one similar but a little larger for an old Ford garage.
  24. Looking Great! I gotta follow this one.
