  1. Maybe the caps from the JoHan 68 Plymouth?........they dont have the holes but it shouldnt be that hard to drill them. If you think you can use them let me know I have a set. Raisin
  2. I still need to find a MoPar themed front licence plate but other than that shes pretty much done........... Thanks for looking, Raisin
  3. Finally decided on a mill to power the "Project Mayflower" Plymouth. I origionally built a 440 big block but it just seemed a bit to normal, and besides what says MoPar more than HEMI? The original 426 HEMI's while being pretty awesome race mills were not known as good everyday drivers so I decided to upgrade the powertrain with a Modern 5.7 litre Hemi from a 2005 Chrysler 300. Thanks for looking, Raisin
  4. Thanks for posting the pics. It was a good show put on by good people. I hope I can make it back next year. By the way I really liked your 32 sedan!
  5. Here are a couple shots of the finished interior. I used the dash from a 69 Roadrunner, 69 Cougar seats, and a console from the parts box. The seat belts are made from masking tape, the arm rests are from evergreen stock, third brake light is made from scrap plastic, and the buckles and ignition key are MCG photo etch. Thanks for looking, Raisin
  6. Thanks, and Mr Obsessive is correct the lower pic a 57 Ford grill. I notice you are from Ontario, will you be going to the Group25 show in Toronto? Raisin
  7. I collect coins, race RC cars (though its been awhile since Ive had them out), and tinker with my 52 Ford. Raisin
  8. Most amazing thing about hot wheels to me is they were about a buck when I bought them as a kid in the sixties and they are still about a buck to buy them today! Nice collection
  9. I have recently started opening up grills using the method harrypri described. I think it does add quite a bit to the "look" of the model. Its not practical on every build but I think I will be doing this more and more and on more intricate pieces as my skills improve. Raisin
  10. Thanks everyone for the responses. I did finish the interior today, went with the roadrunner dash. Althought I think the Challenger dash looks better the Roadrunner seemed to have more of a "big car" look to go with the rest of the interior. I am still trying to decide on a mill to power this Mayflower........been considering everything from a modern 5.7 litre Hemi to a hot rodded slant six! I even bought an 08 Charger kit to get the motor, what a waste of money........the motor was molded into the engine bay! Right now I am leaning toward a big block. Something like a 383 or 400. I have a 440 six pack motor out of an old Challenger model I can use as a basis. I should have a few more progress pics up soon. Once again thanks everyone, Raisin
  11. I noticed the Toledo NNL theme this year is Pro Touring so I thought I should try and cobble something together. I dont know what got into me with this idea........yep its a 4 door! Just wanted to do something different I suppose. I dont have much MoPar stuff to pick from so Im going with the kit chassis. To add some life I filled in the engine bay gaps with sheet styrene. Added a front suspensiom from an old Dodge Challenger model, then painted and added a wash to try and give it som depth. The interior has Mercury Cougar seats, flocked flooring, console from the parts box, and arm rests made from evergreen stock. I will either be using a 69 Roadrunner or 70 Challenger dash. I was surprised what a difference removing the B pillar made. Turned this stodgy sedan into something almost sleek looking! Paint is Ford Wimbeldon White and Duplicolor Orange Mist. Thanks for looking, Raisin
  12. I did an L.A.P.D. car a bit ago and decided to try another police cruiser to correct some of the mistakes I made. I decided to the N.Y.P.D. this time. What an ugly combination of colors! I dont know what they were thinking when they came up with this paint scheme. Thanks for looking, Raisin
  13. Thanks everyone. I thought this post died a slow death back in april!
  14. Where did you get the decals? I started on a "Border Bandits" Comet over a year ago. Got the motor, chassis, paint, and interior done but then the project got stalled when my decal source dried up. Sure is tricky masking those stripes isnt it?.........Yours turned out great! Raisin
  15. AMT kit, Gooche decals, Tamiya paint, and motor from a Revell Camaro. Thanks for looking, Raisin
  16. AMT kit, Gooche decals (they needed some work), I will be using the motor from Revells Baldwin Motion Camaro
  17. Cant exactly put my finger on why, but I always liked this pic of my 55 Crown Victoria. Raisin
  18. A beatifull build, but how did it win both second and third in the same catagory? Raisin
  19. scalemodelingbychris.com is the website. Raisin
  20. Having just painted a Firefighter Mustang kit and dealing with the bleed thru of the red plastic I was wondering how you guys deal with it? Tried something new this time........ I layed a coat of future on the car before priming it with limited success. Just curious as to how others are solving this problem? Raisin
  21. scalemodelingbychris did these for me........ Raisin
  22. Kris Morgans distributers are the best pre wired I have used. I tried Arrowhead's before, it took 9 months to get them and I thought they were way to big and lacked the sharp detail on the caps.
  23. Thanks, yes after seeing the pics I thought the rims looked a bit to bright too. I went back and toned them down a bit with some wash. Raisin
  24. I tried looking but it says a password is required
  25. Started this almost 2 years ago, about halfway thru the build my interest drifted to other projects and this one sat. Finally got it out again and finished it this week. Its a johan kit with Slixx decals and the engine bay out of a Monogram Mustang. Thanks for looking, Raisin
