  1. So the deadline to finish is June 30?
  2. I agree with others, both great start on it, and those were dang good looking trucks
  3. Thank you, that's the goal ??
  4. LOL ? Oh, "Dad's Pad when Mom's Mad", that's my man cave/hobby room/where I park the motorcycle, not my Pop's place
  5. Me too. Unfortunately, there was a sealed AMT Autocar dump truck delivered today (there are 2 more kits coming too), so I might need to check into Dad's Pad for when Mom's Mad for a few days ?
  6. X3, it's beautiful!
  7. I'm sorry, my friend, I can't answer that, this is a family friendly forum ?
  8. After having been in a local Hobbytown today, when I got home I found this (with receipt of course...I'm not implying or joking that I stole it ? ) stowed away and hiding under a blanket in the back of the FJ where the wife wouldn't see it, sneaky thing, I was just as shocked as she was when she caught me bringing it in the house ?
  9. Engine is looking great, nice and greasy like it should
  10. It's sounding more and more interesting/cool as you describe it, my friend! :D
  11. Nice! I haven't used very much resin over the years (I have dabbled with a Jimmy Flintstone body or 2), anxious to see yours being built
  12. Very cool, Ken! I grew up in the 80's and learned to play the bass guitar in church, but being a metal-head teenager when bands like Metallica ruled, LOL, I quickly found a group of like minded kids at my school who also played and when we weren't racing around on dirt bikes, we were busy pretending to be rock stars learning and playing rock music in somebody's garage or shed, LOL! When I graduated high school I joined the Army and never really came back to it, but always threatened "to someday buy a guitar and learn to play it". Fast forward 30 years or so, I still love the sound of heavy metal and hard rock (though being devout in my faith, I have little interest in the lyrics anymore). So 11-22, having discovered a Guitar Center in my area, I bought one of those "Squier by Fender starter packs" with a Squier Strat and small amp and started learning from YouTube videos (some were actual teaching videos, some just music videos and I'd watch the guitarist) and have been loving finally learning a little. I wasn't getting (even close to) the sound I was wanting from that setup, even after adding a pedal to get heavier sounds, so after a few weeks I sold off a few knives (another hobby) and upgraded to an Ibanez RG series guitar and BOSS Katana 50 II amp and love both! Look over the mess, (it's an extra bedroom and my wife's current home-office, LOL), and the Drop D, my left hand was surgically repaired (more like the internals were surgically replaced ?) after an on the job injury in 2001, so unfortunately it doesn't always have the fine motor skills to play everything with chords alone (Drop tunes are a life saver for that in a lot of songs). This is from "week 5" of learning to play (this past weekend ?), a little Alice in Chains and Soundgarden---coincidently, my neighbors probably LOVE me now ?? QUWM4704.MP4
  13. Very nice, this is gonna be sweet!
  14. Thanks, Jeff! I'm enjoying seeing everyone else's builds
  15. It looks great, my friend, nicely done! Black can definitely be a pain, LOL, I use black sometimes myself, but not that often for those exact reasons ??
