  1. Thank you, if these had been 2 unknown guys they would be up for a Darwin award. Sorry thing too, it seems they were real standup guys.
  2. Stolen in Mexico, good thing that border is secure and well guarded.......
  3. Here in Indiana I have two with them in my garage, I even have a thermostat on my Manx with a turbo 1915.
  4. The age old Revell VW kit is a 68 US spec. car, if you sand off the fender flairs that have been in the last few issues. I've done it so I can say there is enough plastic in the fenders to do so.
  5. And KFC isn't Kentucky Fried Chicken anymore. Just ask them.
  6. If the VW has a thermostat it would be below the right cylinders, below the push rod tubes, and above the lower cooking tins.
  7. Just worked for me, pop-ups, overlays and all....
  8. But when the engine was a 265 the 396 on the stripe didn't mean much.....
  9. Someone built a "Black Widow" T a few years back too!
  10. Yes, this transporter could run over 100 MPH with a car on it's back, faster than many sports cars could do then. And so will I.
  11. Back in the 60's someone in Indianapolis was cutting down old Caddy ambulances and hearses to build campers like those above. Those things were built on long wheelbase commercial chassis and most were low millage and well kept. They were also cheap. So maybe the Ghostbuster kit would be a good starting point.
  12. They are called "donks" because thats the noise a ball joint makes when it comes apart.
  13. WAY COOL!! I would recomend you get a Modelhaus front bumper, the headlights on the AMT part are way bad.
  14. Wow! The weirdest kits I have are a Weird-Oh's Davy and a BMW Iseta / Mesersmit KR double kit. Pretty normal stuff it seems.
  15. Very cool subject, so cool it inspired the Cheetah transporter that was built from a 59 El Camino that Dean Moon owned.
  16. Yep! They list one, and a Starkey & Hutch Torino too! Thanks!
  17. Drag City Casting seems to be a dead end.
  18. I agree, now if we can only get you on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame before they give Justin Beiber a lifetime achievement award!
  19. Sorry, but that nose would have to go.....
  20. OK, got a day off, opened the kit I got last weekend, and found that the floorboard / fender aprons part is damaged badly. Looks like it may have been packed too tight but it also has terrible flash, and looks like something out of a 50 year old Jo Han kit. This is the only part in the kit this way. Well, off to the hot water to see if it will save..........
