  1. I can remember 3, Street buggy, sand buggy with 2 piece plastic sand tires, and a bodyless pan with seats and a roll bar. I MIGHT have a set of orignal instructions, I'll see if I can locate them.
  2. My referance is parked in the garage waiting.
  3. On 1:1 VW's the beams are narrowed to bring the tires in under the taller part of the fenders, that allows the car to be lowered further. The bug can be lowered without narrowing the beam, but tire clearance may be an issue.
  4. Correction on the side marker lights, the 69 Novas had the same lights as the 68's. Novas did not get the new smaller lights that the Camaros and Chevelles did.
  5. I enjoy (and learn something) every issue.
  6. 1 more thing, the 307 small block was interduced at the same time as the 350.
  7. 68 had its own dash, the key switch was in the dash, its on the steering column on latter cars. 68 SS Chevy II's had "super sport" in block letters low on the front fenders, all others had "SS" higher on the front fenders. 68 Novas had the "Nova" nameplate on the rear quqrter panels, 69 and later cars had these moved to the front fenders. 68's had a three spoke steering wheel, 69 and 70 had two spokes and a four spoke wheel was used in 71 and 72 but I dont know if it was across the board in all of them. 68 and early 69 small block cars had 327 engines switching to 350's sometime in 69. Bumpers become flatter in 70. Notice the larger parking lights in the newer bumpers. 68 had almost square side marker lamps, the front ones on V8 cars included the engine size call out in the front lights. 69 had small erctangle marker lights, 70 and up had larger rectangle side marker lights. Taillamps got bigger in 70.
  8. Also the Polar Lights Herbie love bug kit has a useable 1200 fresh air 40 horse and awingalxe. I scratch built type 3 shrouds onto the engine in the AMT Meyers Manx years ago. That engine looks most like a 36'er to me.
  9. A very poor excuse for a 68 type 1 1500 and swingaxle trans.
  10. I'm in the auto-body repair busness, and a lot of new rules went into effect back in January. Guys, it's only going to get worse.
  11. I have a Jo-Han 56 Pontiac 4 door body without a roof and trunk you can have if it will help you.
  12. On the 1:1 cars, the windshilds are differant in 1957, (taller on 57's because of the lowered cowl) 55 & 56 are the same. The rest of the glass is the same on like body styles. http://www.classicchevy.com/catalogsearch/result/?search_year=ALL&q=windshilds&x=26&y=10
  13. Yes, they are differant, but without the cars in my garage to measuer I can't say just how much. Also, the tailgate leans forward more on the Nomad. A resin sedan delivery from Modelhaus would be an easyer starting point.

  15. Your health comes first, get better soon!
  16. Last December. (Sorry, I had to do it)
  17. You would be suprised what a little polishing will do to cleaning up a ragged paint line.
  18. Another vote for "It depends". On a new tool done today it would be a toss-up.
  19. If I can' hold it in my hand I won't pay for it, and most of us old greay heads feel this way. E-ziene soon = no-ziene.
  20. R&R makes a 55 in the Bel Air trim, but their 56 210 wagen is a 2 door. http://www.resinrealm.net/Star/RRGalleries/Chevrolet/index.html
  21. Spotlights forum? I'll never find them there....
  22. A little north east of Indy here.
  23. Rear fog lamp. The euro light on the front fender near the door is a repeater light.
