  1. Looks great John, of course, I know you do great work and you must get this photographed in a better setting, other than that, as usual, very cool!!! Are you going to the next MAMA meeting? Hope to see it there....
  2. What if we rank or rate the models by numbers as we post, for example, 1 for poor, 2 for needs cleanliness, 3 for orange peel in the paint and so on, in this way, there is a standard etched in stone that people need to follow in order to do better work in the future. We can fill in the blanks in conjunction with the numbers to determine the quality of the build versus the number given....
  3. This is great Cesar, reminds me of one I built a few years back.....
  4. Very cool my friend, a little constructive criticism though, try misting your paint between coats, this will give you more tooth for the next coats to follow. If you look at all the edges and door panel lines, the paint seems to be getting away from these, you might be dumping too much paint at one time. Other than that, as I said, very cool!!!
  5. Great stuff Cesar, very clean and detailed work!!
  6. Fantastic job man, I am diggin' this cool truck!!!
  7. I agree with you Dave, yours is definitely different but very creative!! I did one myself but in the same old boring fashion..... Hosted on Fotki

  12. I rarely say anything here specially when it's one of those board drama incidents but, come on, how stupid can you be to even try to post such stupidity Talk about getting rid of trouble makers, here is the guinea pig.....
  13. You are doing very well man, one advice I always give people starting in this hobby is to learn how to pace themselves first, it's difficult at first since you are so anxious to see that model completed. Just make sure to finish it off without much detailing, once you see how well it turns out, your next one will definitely be better!!
  14. Very cool, remember, practice makes perfect....
  15. There is a member and a good friend of mine here in the forum, he goes by the handle of 3men2s, private message him, he can tell you where and when there are any shows or contests around your area!!

  19. Looking awesome!!! Torque thrusts for me!!!
  20. Lots of good stuff happening here with your build Romell, thanks for sharing brother!!!!
  21. It's all on how you prefer it my friend, if you are pleased with the final results you can leave it as is. I personally wetsand and polish all my finishes like a lot of the fellas here. I like to use my Micro Mesh system, grits start at 3200 followed by 3600, 4000, 6000, 8000 and finally 12,000. Learn to use them and I can assure you that you will love them!!!
  22. Mark is right!! I like to shoot my first 3 coats very lightly 15 to 20 minutes apart right out of the can. I will add another 3 wetter coats 20 minutes apart and that's it, I think it works great. Of course, I always wetsand and polish it at the end. Make sure it's completely dry before wetsanding/polishing at the end! One of the things I like about Tamiya Clears is how thin they go on.
  23. Definitely one of my favorite builders here!!
  24. Come on guys, this is an old rule, should be easy to follow!!
  25. Harry!!! The deal was so good that I felt if I hung around the store too long after buying it, they would raise the price back up!!!
