peekay,
Would this method work with just a corser polishing compound instead of sand paper? I really cringe when I think of actually sanding the paint off even with a high grit like 6000.
I like the comfort zone ya know.

Congratulations!
I smoked since I was old enough to "borrow" a pack from Dad's stash. I quit January 6th 2012, and haven't smoked since. I'm 56................................do the math.
I did however slip the restraints a time or two, and threaten everyone around me with great bodily harm.
My lovely wife had the answer, quote "If you don't behave I'll punch you in the (expletive) head." end quote. As far a smoking she stated " If I catch you with a cigarette I'll punch you in the (expletive) head." Nothing quite like the support of a loving spouse to help a guy through the rough spots.

What Brian said.
107 here today, 5% humidity, and I'm building in the kitchen. Painting occurs early morning or late evening.
I do not miss humidity.

Terry, remember the diorama that was very popular a few years back with the "stealth" plane? It had the tarmac, power cart, boarding ladder, pilot and even a shadow, just no plane.
I wonder if something similar in concept could be done here?

Jim,
No coffee!
Heretic! burn him at the stake.
As my partner left the office, he told me to eat something and get another cup of coffee. I was way to grumpy at roll call.

(BTW, kudos to anyone who gets the reference in my original post.)
0726 in Sin City, we are working the day watch in gaming crimes, my partner is Blue Lou, the boss is Opie, the office is quiet, I'm in charge, and the coffee is brewing. It is pot #2.

Here's my rendition of the car I drove in 2000 - 2004.
All the decals are computer generated after manipulating the Chimneyvill sheet to replicate the look of what were driving at this time.
If some manufacturer would produce this in styrene, with the detail of say Lindbergh's older CVPI, they would clean up in sales.
