  1. Never had that problem G
  2. $50.00 each for Dragon's M1A1 and M1A2 kits when first reissued. Glad I did, they are upwards of $100 each now. G
  3. Isn't that special? Great way to start the day huh? Now that I'm back on nights everyone wants to call at 1pm. That's like 3am in my world. No one understands why I don't answer............................... G
  4. I'm sorry, maybe this will be more to your liking. G
  5. Picky, picky. G
  6. That is very, very nice! Bit of trivia, that rotating beacon didn't come along until 1949. The weathering and finish really makes this look like an older truck recently outfitted with state of the art emergency lights. G
  7. Very nice! G
  8. Who needs snow? G
  9. Bass guitar Piano Trumpet Haven't touched any of the above in years. Lost my Fender Stratocaster and Yamaha keyboard in a divorce, gave the horn to my middle son ages ago. G
  10. Oh heck yeah! That show started me down the path. Looking back I realize just how "sanitized" the show's depiction of police work really was, but man I watched it all the time. G
  11. Getting closer! I see the next page of our hobby right there. G
  12. Releasing the 1950 Oldsmobile back in 1999-2000 when hinted at by AMT would have been good marketing sense. Any plastic late model 1998-2011 Crown Victoria, Mercury Marquis/Marauder would have been a big hit. I double Tom's comment about the Mach 5. G
  13. Looking good. Aside from some wear and tear on the steering wheel, that interior looks pretty good too. For "shiny" I think Novus plastic polish is great for enamels. Laquers and such benefit from the many 1:1 polishes readily available. G
  14. Are you f'n kidding me? This is your advice to the kid? Quit school? How will that promote his future? Where's he going to land a job with no basic education? If he does get extremely lucky and he's very talented even if he scores a job, how will he advance in the workforce? Get a raise? Better benefits? Your last sentence says it all, make the best of what you have. G
  15. You polished that old POS into quite the jewel sir. Very, very nice. G
  16. Two maybe three different police cars, at least four tanks and supervise what ever else the grandson needs help with. G
  17. Dragon Panzer IV F2 Dragon Sturmgeschuetz III D Tamiya M5A1 The top two will continue with my "North African Campaign" series of builds and the M5 will be added to my USMC WWII series. I also got a bunch of great aftermarket stowage items from Steve at Value Gear. Mmmmmmmmmm good. G
  18. Sleepy Hollow Once Upon a Time Ghost Hunters Ghost Adventures Ghost Stalkers Ghost Asylum Finding Bigfoot Anything about aliens with Georgio Tsoukalos See a pattern yet.............. G
  19. I saw a cloud today................... and a beautiful white Jaguar XJ, about a 2011 model. Stunning car. It's still in the 70's here. G
  20. Superb! You have truly captured your car in miniature. G
  21. Then too, at what point does a "star" become obsessed with fame? There's a well known figure (pun intended) in the armor building community who has national acclaim. He has countless articles, features and a book or two to his credit. He and his entourage are referred to as "trophy whores" in most IPMS circles in the South West. He speaks to no one but his group and does not participate in any activity at the show. He (they) arrive, display their admittedly really good builds, then disappear until trophy time. Maybe that's what trips his trigger, maybe that's "building for him", but due to his behavior we will probably never know. I suppose we should buy the book for reference and to learn. G
  22. Sema is a great time for all the gear heads. Trouble is it seems to empower all the aspiring "drivers" here in the valley. We have had something like 5 fatalities so far here in the valley. G
  23. Semper Fidelis USMC 1974-1978, Bravo 2/7 "WarDogs" 0331 Machine Gunner, "happiness is a belt fed weapon". BLT 3/4 1975 USMCR 1978-1986, H&S 3/24, "in the rear with the gear" RVN 1975, the bitter end. Lebanon 1978 Grenada 1983 Panama 1989 Semper Fi, do or die, hold em high at eighth and eye, blood makes the grass grow, Marines make the blood flow. Bless all the men, women and animals that have served and continue to serve their country. G
  24. But do the deceased vote in the Windy city? A few years back it was noticed that some of the prominent founding fathers of St Louis voted in the elections.Pierre Laclede, Augustus Chouteau, even Adolphous Bush voted. Laclede's been dead for nearly 150 years........................ Ah the joys of city living. G
