Good job Chris. Stay the course friend. G

^ What he said ^ Some of my closest friends started their lives in another country. They and their loved ones are here for a reason. Where else but the United States can an old fat Jew regularly break bread with Kurdish Muslims eh?

This is what I've been working on with what little spare time I've had recently. I also posted this in the "All the Rest Community Build". This is the older DML Pz III G with Panzer Art barrel/mantlet assembly. I scratchbuilt the jerry can rack and added some Value gear stowage. This is built as one of the original tanks in the theatre from Panzer Regiment 5. They hadn't quite gotten around to adding the stowage rack on the rear yet. They did realize the need for spare track and roadwheels though. The track sections also served as add on armor. It's painted with my Tamiya mix for RAL 8000 over Tamiya Panzer Gray. I weathered it with oils, enamels and pastels. The mottled appearence replicates how they looked what with the initial shortage of paint. I bought a case and made the desert base from modelling clay. AFV Club T-34. Nice kit but with the engine deck and hatches being opaque there's hardly any sense in not painting the hull. G

5 year wedding anniversary for MrsG and I tomorrow! G

Danny that kit is a re tool of an old classic. It was based on the Tim Burton movie with Johnny Depp. That build is mostly styrene rod and Bondo Spot Putty used to alleviate poor fitting joints. In fact the horse had so much texture I completely covered him in putty and sanded it smooth. As far as Batman goes, same with old HH, they are FICTIONAL characters. we can do whatever the heck we want! I am working 7pm to 7am as I type this. Normally I work 6:30am to 4:30pm. The OT is nice but........................ G

With I 15 being closed for a few days now I turned over all our duties in Mesquite, Nevada to the local cops. Detours now make that a 2-3 hour trip, it's normally 85 miles up the 15. Hopefully the freeways will open today. The Moapa reservation got swamped. It only took two days for our illustrious governor to declare a state of emergency. His house was fine so he apparently didn't care. I return to night watch for the week end ( big fight scheduled ) so we'll see what happens. It's supposed to rain again Sunday...................... G

What 1/25 Kits Were Molded in Orange?
Agent G replied to Snake45's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Black will muddy it up a bit, use dark brown. G -
Outstanding work by all. Joe that is just tremendous work on that itty bitty model. You nailed it big time. Danny I love anything Batman related so I'm watching impatiently! Sorry I haven't been around much. I've been working 12 hour days as we are so short handed. It has mellowed out for a week or so now. I'll post some current stuff tonight. G

I'd add a light wash of burnt umber to the belt and call it good. You could give the face a bit of a wash also to alleviate that "Michael Jackson" pasty complexion look. As far as the bat suit goes it's great. In that scale differences in finish aren't that apparent. Trouble is and here's the rub, you want to add some difference so to make it more believeable in scale. Can you say dichotomy? The only thing I'd have done differently is use a real real dark flat gray for the fabric areas then a semi gloss black for the by armor. Mix german gray with flat black 50/50 for the rider's suit. Just enough of a difference to be noticible. Not to hijack but for inspiration. German Gray coat and trousers, Nato Black gloves, boots and cape. All were washed then drybrushed with Floquil enamel. What did you see on the road today?
Agent G replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Saw a rodded '70 El Camino this morning. It looked and sounded just fine. G -
That storm skirted past me and hit Kingman AZ and Boulder City NV. Just a bit later, one front came up the west side of the valley and produced hail in Summerlein. I got drizzled on in Henderson. Waiting to see what happens today. G

Yes it was. Then one shock would leak and the car would sit lopsided. G

Today ended the work week from hell. That pleased me to all get out. I worked four 12 hour days due to manpower shortages. Time for some sleep, food and bench time! G

I just finished putting the finishing touches to a theft case at a casino where I locked up three employees. In each interview I ask what has become a standard question of mine. "Do you have any idea how many cameras are on you at any given time while you are working?" The answer in each case was something like "Oh yeah, sure". Really? G

Now we're talking! G

I'm always off Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, so I guess it's a normal weekend for me. G

Little Known Car Facts #2 Lake Pipes (Lakes Pipes)
Agent G replied to Greg Myers's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
SCTA rules required cars running on the lakes, and later the salt flats, to have exhaust pipes that vented to the rear. Guys just formed tubing and extended the pipes from the manifolds out the back, or down the side of the car. This eventually morphed into what you see in period customs as "lake pipes". Cut outs are as old as the car itself. Someone, somewhere decided bypassing the muffler gave better performance and, most likely, sounded cooler. My '62 Pontiac 421 SD had them from the factory. G -
Oh I have no doubt it was not the first and only time. G
