  1. It's nice to see such an unusual version of such an unusual car... and so well done, too! David G.
  2. Top notch work on this one! keep the good stuff coming. David G.

  6. Yeah, people have become so used to seeing the Elements that they're no longer considered ugly enough and folks are now buying Cubes instead. He is! David G.
  7. What's an "engine delete plate"? Is it just a piece with the bottom bits of the engine that snaps over the crossmember? David G.
  8. Thanks Dan, but given the marginal quality of the engine, I think I would prefer to glue the hood down. My intent is to keep this one as simple as possible. If I get a firewall, then I'll have to find a nicer engine, which I'll have to wire and plumb then detail... etc, etc. I don't think that this kit is worth all that. Thanks for the offer, though. David G.
  9. I play bass- the guitar, not the fish. I haven't played much in the last couple of years, though. Hey, does anybody in the Phoenix area want to get together and jam? David G.
  10. Chevy has been behind the curve since they destroyed the EV-1 David G.
  11. That's right, there's no firewall and the engine has only a moderate level of detail, Therefore, I plan on gluing the hood shut and dressing up the bottom of the engine a bit and filling the axle holes in the oil pan. I'll also add styrene stubs to mount the front wheels. Thanks for all the feedback. David G.
  12. My Achilles heel is whatever I'm working on at the time. My ambitions frequently exceed my skills and by the time my skills catch up, my ambitions have out-paced them again. The cycle never seems to end! David G.
  13. Yep, that's Phoenix PD. Good work on this one. David G.
  14. Here's an update on my 63 Chevy. Curiously, I couldn't find any copyright or trademark info on the body or chassis, so I don't know who made the kit, but here it is any way. Disassembly was not too difficult. Young or inexperienced builders tend to paint parts then glue them together. This makes the parts easy to seperate. After a trip to the purple pond, I put a shot of primer on the body to see what kind of prep work I needed to do. Mostly just the standard mold lines and sink marks... I did have to add a strip of styrene to one side of the hood so it would look better between the fenders. Thanks for looking! David G.
  15. With the right background, this might pass for a 1:1. Clean, solid build. David G.
  16. It's also one month colder in Canada than it is in the States. Late November in Canada is like late December in the States. It makes sense to have a harvest holiday before the ground freezes. David G.
  17. The Nash is interesting. I don't think I've ever seen one of those in kit form. I've done some more work on my Chevy, but I need to get a new cable for my camera so I can post the pics. David G.
  18. Great engine! The shopping cart trailer is a nice touch David G.
  19. Most of us can, but there are people out there who actively look for reasons to be offended and upset, and people like that aren't usually happy until they make their displeasure known to all. David G.
  20. Heyyyy, I'm stock. David G.
  21. Romell, I love your solution for the fire supression bottles. That's what this hobby's all about! David G.
