  1. That was my first thought, If the struts failed and it fell on someone, it'd likely maim or kill them. A modified hatch back would actually work a bit better. Make it so just the rear window and frame lift together, and leave the rear clip and 300 lb bumper where it is. Sort of like a sedan trunk. I know it's not really practicle for a wagon, but the Turbine Car was not really practicle in the first place. Just a thought. David G.
  2. There are a lot of nightmare builds being turned into dream cars here, excellent work, everyone! It's time for me to jump in on this one. I've been looking for an excuse to rebuild this old 63 Chevy ever since I got it. On to the disassembly plant! David G.
  3. Killer! David G.
  4. The color combination is striking, it reminds me of a big pool of cool water. "Summertime" really works as a name for this one. David G.
  5. What is there to say that hasn't been said? Excellent work, lovely detail! David G.
  6. As a funeral director, I have access to pall bearer gloves. We buy them by the case and, at funeral services, give them away like hotcakes. If you call a local funeral home and tell them what you want them for, they just may give you a couple of pairs. David G.
  7. I love the old turbine cars. This is a great take on the concept, and well done. The weathering adds a nice touch to it. David G.
  8. You could always call the store closest to you. They may even order it for you if you ask them. David G.
  9. Thanks, I'll check themout, but it may be a while before I need to buy more BMF. David G.
  10. I actually got these last week, I've just been (too to two) busy to post about it. A few weeks ago, I finally broke down and ordered some actual BMF from MicroMark. I bought (four for fore) of them because something just felt wrong about paying more for shipping than for the item itself. One day last week, I stopped at my LHS just to see what they had on the shelves and found the PL Glue-Bat! When I got home and checked the mail the BMF was waiting for me! Woo-Hoo! David G.
  11. You have a good eye for weathering and detail. The rust and dirt is well balanced and not overdone. David G.
  12. Nailed it! Excellent work! David G.
  13. This one will be fun to watch, keep up the good work! David G.
  14. That is cool looking and and i'm sure they make decent cars, but for some reason I still can't get past the idea of buying a car with a name spelled K-I-A. David G.
  15. Smooth and Deadly! David G.
  16. That's a very nice set, excellent work!
  17. Very nice work on this one, you've got a very good eye for color matching, David G.
  18. Excellent work! Lots of nice little touches that really set it apart. David G.
  19. Thanks Drake for all the hints and tips, you've helped me to avoid some frustrating mistakes on the one I'm currently building. Your build-up really came out nicely too! There is a question I have about the rocket tubes though; somehow I got it fixed in my mind that the insides are red and not black. If there is anybody who can confirm this matter for me, I'd appreciate it. Thanks, David G.
  20. You continue to out-do yourself on each new project. Pure Awesomeness! David G.
  21. Very cool, I love all the added detail. David G.
  22. Thanks Guys! If I come up with something, I'll be back. David G.
  23. Now, there ya go! That truck is so cool, it needs something worthy to haul around! David G.
  24. I finally finished the RoboCop Car. It's a fairly simple kit and there isn't much to look at, but here it is. I cobbled the antennae together from bits of wire and insulation. The rear windows are spray-tinted acetate, I made them a bit too dark, though. Well, there it is. Thanks for looking, and thanks Janne for hosting the CBP. David G.
