  1. Awesome looking power plant.
  2. Very nice and tidy, it just looks solid!
  3. Your paint looks excellent. It all seems to be coming along quite nicely.
  4. Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy it. Now if I can continue to update it regularly, we'll be all set.
  5. "Pepto-Cruiser" I like that!
  6. I usually file the molded plastic belts down to a more appropriate thickness. I also do this with the column-mounted gear shift and turn signal levers.
  7. Erik, That's an excellent build, the interior detail is great. Your photos are well done, too. It seems that you put some effort and thought into lighting and copmosition and it shows. One minor distraction from the otherwise high quality of your building and photographic skills is the dust. If you were to take a moment prior to each shoot to dust off the model, it would make a tremendous improvement in the appearance of your photos. This one detail could make the difference between excellent quality and professional quality. Otherwise, what I've seen is very impressive! Regards, David G.
  8. That's a good rendition of this generation's Camaro-Firebird-Trans Am wagon.
  9. Congratulations! That is an awesome achievement.
  10. That's pretty wild, you sure do know how to work styrene. Changing the rear wheels must be tricky, though.
  11. Yeah, there's something to be said for the "tuners"... no chrome!
  12. For those who may be interested, I posted a new update yesterday. Most of what's on there has been shown here at one time or another, but there, it's all in one place. daveag.com Feel free to let me know what you think. Thanks, David G.
  13. Pretty cool!
  14. This is a skill level I hope to reach someday. Awesome work!
  15. Absolutely beautiful!
  16. Hi Howard, welcome to the forum.
  17. This one just cries out for a restoration. The paint looks pretty smooth for a brush job. Thanks, I agree the foil is worth the effort.
  18. Thanks for the comments. If you have any pictures, feel free to post them. Maybe we could make this the "Pink Car Thread!"
  19. Good Heavans! How did I miss this one? This is completely awesome! I' apologize for dragging up such an old topic, but wow!
  20. On my last build, I felt intimidated by the ammount of chrome trim, so I tried using paint instead of foil on the chrome trim. It turned out alright, but I know it would've been better in foil. Since the '55 Chevy has a fair amount of chrome trim, I decided to use it as my "foil trainer." After making several attempts at each section, I finally got the foil work done to my satisfaction. I know it's not anywhere near perfect, but I've pushed my learning capacity to the limit for this round. The next one will be a little easier and a little better. As always, thanks for taking the time to look and feel free to comment and/or offer any tips or suggestions. Thanks, David G.
  21. Nice save! I've learned more from the mistakes I've made that from the successes I've had. I've been watching your progress on this one, and everything's coming along nicely, keep up the good work.
  22. Excellent work, the level of detail is fantastic!
  23. Forgive me, but I don't know what MV lenses are.
  24. Great engine and interior detail, I can't wait to see the rest of it.
  25. Wow, looks great!
