  1. Awesome looking custom. Nice work on, well, pretty much everything. I like the paint color combo.
  2. Nice! Great to see a Fiat mixed in here. Excellent work.
  3. We live in a global economy. You should probably look and see how many American cars are built in America. The economics of the domestic auto industry is not responsible or related to the most recent economic downturn - nor any that I know of. From a consumer level, it would make no economic sense to buy an inferior product just because of the place it was manufactured. If the products were equal, than you could broaden your decision making process - bit that's not the case here.
  4. Okay, so I did some research... 1959 Ford Populars or Ford Anglia 100e's Obviously, not too popular here. I still would like to know more about the models... Okay, I figured it out
  5. Another insightful review Don. I tried a NEO and was not pleased. Rather than waste my time sending it back to Iwata for a replacement, I purchased an Iwata Eclipse. I think the quality control is going to hurt the Iwata name with the NEO. Once bitten, twice shy. I already had an Eclipse siphon that I like, so I got the gravity feed. Others, without previous Iwata experience, will be going to Badger if they get a subpar NEO.
  6. I am not sure these are the Hubley Dauphines. These have engines - I am pretty sure the Hubley Dauphine was a curbside. I am familiar with the Hubley kit - these are diferent. Thanks, though, Mike.
  7. Those minis are both cool - I would love to watch those builds.
  8. Double yea on that. Dodge is looking good. I like the Mica Red paint choice.
  9. HERE Somebody liked them - I am curious about the wagon and sedans (and converted convertibles) Anybody know what they are?
  10. Neat. Always nice to watch something different. That engine looks good. Colors are great too.
  11. Michael's and Hobby Lobby sell embossing powder in the stamping section. You can also find flocking at Michael's in the same general area - not in the model section. The Hobby Lobby here doesn't sell flocking, though.
  12. I don't think it's the first time Chrysler products have been in the bottom 5, though. As far as 2012 models go - we won't know for a few years, so...
  13. Nice work! A lot of decal practice - looks like you put some time into getting them right.
  14. What's wrong with the one you have? Trendy chop top, cambered front wheel, shiny paint (not smooth, but shiny).
  15. Four have sold in the last two months on eBay - up to but not exceeding $19.99. HERE
  16. Wow. That stuff really stripped - hardly any residue! Expensive, yes, but for some applications, it looks like a good choice. I am usually left with lots of paint in nooks and crannies - especially on things like wheels - using oven cleaner, simple green and purple stuff.
  17. Yes. There is a market for those kits too, but I am pretty sure it's for people just collecting because it's hard not to look at them with the eyes of a builder and get very ANGRY! I sold a couple Marui kits - similar to the LS or Doyusha kits - and was surprised. The aoshima kits are buildable though. I have a few Skylines and Celicas and like the bodies quite a bit - a lot nicer than the Fujimi equivalents.
  18. A lot of those Aoshima kits are pretty decent. Yes, the chassis is lame because they are meant to be motorized, but the bodies are attractive and molded crisply. You've probably checked out the extra pics on hobby search - it looks like a full interior at least. Seperate windshield wipers, mirrors - looks pretty decent. Chassis looks typical - flat, inaccurate thing. The ones to avoid are Doyusha Nostalgic Heroes (NH) - some may be okay - the ones I have had were really lame.
  19. The mood discs will be covering...steelies.
  20. I'm pretty sure it's labeled "Global" this year.
  21. Oh, that turned out very nice. I like the flat black wheels. This car is not about the wheels - and I think chrome or silver would make them more of a focus. Very well done.
  22. and the 1975 MPC Pinto: Box art Body Chrome (only wheel option is the 5 slots) MPC interiors are not a tub - separate sides V8 option, turbo charged 351 Four banger, frame, etc. (the front and rear suspension parts are more detailed on the MPC kits)
  23. Here is a mini "retro" review of the kit contents, if anybody is interested... First, AMT "Runabout": The body (I don't know about the history of AMT and MPC, but I think the bodies in these kits are pretty much the same) Interior tub and chassis (front suspension looks very Gremlin-esque) Chrome tree - some nice options for a blown engine, drag wheels, etc (and stock wheels) The V8, 429, and misc The four cylinder, seats, tires Box art
  24. Oh, one more Decals are old and cracked though
