  1. It’s the taillight panel for this Aoshima kit: Which I believe is a custom set up - I don’t think it ever appears on production Skylines...?
  2. Very nice work. Great looking model. Did you mess with the ride height at all? It sits perfectly.
  3. Was wondering what happened to your model Bruce - Interior is looking good! The Challenger is moving along, body painted and interior/engine compartment close - the engineering is a little tight on this kit, and there is a slight warp to the hood, chassis, and interior tub that didn’t show up much until you put the final steps in...hood fit great doing pre-assembly - 5 coats of paint and 5 coats of clear, and now it’s too tight.
  4. I always buy new, never used instruction sheets. I hate using used ones.
  5. Ahhh...I take the summers off from model building, and the forum, so this was a new to me scam. I am going to send them some tips on how to make it more believable...just kidding.
  6. There is a flurry of high value models and resin kits being listed on eBay this morning for ridiculously low “buy-it-now” prices. Each seller is different, all are from China, but descriptions seem to be individually typed and in good English. Too good to be true? Uh, free shipping too? Yeah, right. There are scams regularly on eBay, but this one seems peculiar because of the subjects, each listed by a different new seller (with 0feedback) and from China. Somebody knowledgeable about kits made the listings but the prices are ludicrous.
  7. Slowly moving along. interior getting worked up - semi-stripped, no back seat (replaced with space age carbon fiber), carbon fiber race seats, got rid of the pesky cup holders and center console, removed the in dash screen (we will be running with iPad technology)...
  8. Close so far...I count Vans=4, inlines=6 and I’m not sure if Dave Branson was voting for fours again or just telling us he voted for fours...;) and what does “2 birds 1 Hemi Charger” mean? Those 12-14 hour days are getting ya!
  9. Beautiful model.
  10. Inlines. But I have an idea involving a van already anyhow...
  11. I agree with Bill. I don’t know if Gregg has the time or interest in developing something here, though. Seems he put a lot of work into eModelcars and that never really took off. Actually, there is quite a bit of “advertising” and company links that happen here all the time, without any compensation (that I know of). Are you thinking selling by individuals, like a “to trade” thread, only “for sale”? Or a way for people to buy from companies and recognize the source of business via payments to the forum owner? Much to consider, I guess. I would be open to a “for sale” thread but can also imagine a world of troubles associated with “moderating” it.
  12. This thread is worth every minute. Awesome work John.
  13. One I’ve been chasing for a while...
  14. This may end up a photo finish. Well, it says “Van” Van:a covered boxlike motor vehicle, typically having a rear door and sliding doors on the side panels, used for transporting goods or people. ...but is it really a sedan delivery?
  15. Probably one of the world’s best. He bought one of my kits on eBay once. Useless point, but I thought I was cool for a second.
  16. Splendid work on the Ferrari, Dave! Beautiful paint.
  17. Spent too much time painting and masking the wheels, only to realize the difference between Alclad chrome and pale gold is so small, it’s hardly noticeable...oh well.
  18. That’s, like, 16,000 “Shiny”s!
  19. That orange should blend right in, Fred!
  20. We could add an “all of the above” choice!
  21. Cool project Bill. It’s interesting how the modern tires and wheels change the look of the car so much. I definitely prefer the more classic look of steel wheels and wide whites, which got me to thinking how hard it is to do a “modern” hot rod - I mean if the proportions look so good on one version and but then so so on the next. Actually, looking back at the photos, the modern set up looks pretty good from the rear 3/4 angle. Either way it’s cool.
