  1. Well, I arrived at the start line to a few paper cups and the wind blowing through dry, bare branches. But, spirits were still high becuase, despite being a week late, the car is complete...full post up in “Under Glass”. Thanks to Rob and Mike for a great idea and thread and coordinating the CBP for so many years. Looking forward once again to the next Race!
  2. They are
  3. We had eight, I think, at the peak. Too many, but all were loved. We are at 5 now. While I don’t like car hair in my paint, it’s a chosen nuisance!
  4. The WIPs are a main draw for me. What some don’t realize is how time consuming it is to actually post a WIP - and I appreciate each one.
  5. But why stop at one spark plug per cylinder? So boring...
  6. Cool cars, Niko, especially for Finland. We made it over last summer, and there are very few US made cars, especially older ones, rolling around. Saw a few, but some had a speed restriction? Sticker or something on back. Here are a couple I saw in Finland that, to my Stateside eyes, were pretty cool:
  7. I could have voted for myself the one time I finished on time... Since the rest of the pack already left the starting line, I slowed down (even more) but should be done this weekend.
  8. Came across this on eBay the other day...
  9. Same here. I quickly looked at who voted for what and it looks like those votes that are showing were placed in both groups. So voters that submitted voted that show selected one vote in group one and one vote in group two.
  10. Excellent job to all the finishers! Amazong how hard finishing a model in a short 11 months is...
  11. Cool model. Only gen of Falcons I like.
  12. I always took it more as a courtesy to the poster to let them know to check their messages. Also so it’s doesnt look like a post is totally ignored.
  13. Looks like a decent kit. Not an area of my interest but any new tooling is good to see. Full engine detail is great although it looks a little soft on details - lots molded in. Overall, the car’s appearance is pretty basic and boring. Add a Honda badge to the back, and voila!!!
  14. Welcome to the forum. There are a couple Idaho builders on here. I’m in Spokane but work in St Maries.
  15. Well, if the Challenger makes the midnight deadline...it’ll smell like a lot of wet paint and glue! Well be starting either way (I’m finishing the model)...maybe a few hours late!
  16. Pretty good take on life and dealing with people. I immediately get put off when somebody I don't know divulges way too much information, especially personal things. Should be red flag as it's not normal behavior. Sad fact is that there are good people and not-so-good people. True, Bill. There wouldn't be con artists without somebody to con - and good ones (con people) know human behavior. Too bad they don't commit to a real cause...
  17. Oh jeez... Tim, I’ll run without glass if you do...
  18. As a steelie fan...I have not seen any exactly like those. I think the early annuals has small steel wheels but were 5 lug. So, to get close, you might try to find a Tamiya Lotus Super 7 kit. It has steel wheels that should scale out to about 14” maybe? With four lugs. Other Japanese kits and manufacturers have 4 lug steelies but they have numerous holes around the edge instead of just the four openings like the ones above. Here is a quick snap of the Lotus wheels from eBay listing:
  19. I think I will use a turbine engine because it’s not a V8 and also it’s easier than just using one of the many available actual inline piston engine representations.
  20. I actually like this series a lot. The art work is so period and seems there are many political statements littered through them. I also like this PC dangerous series:
  21. They have minimum order sizes and set up fees etc. I don’t think they are the ones to do one off sheet, but you can check. I inquired a few years ago and they were very informative but it’s a bit of a process and cost.
  22. A couple more hours of masking and painting... The only fun part of this is peeling the masking off.
