  1. I think the illusion is that is actually not that mild of a restyle. Very tastful and working with the original lines. Beautiful car, really. Take a look at the third photo in the set - notice the change in the rear quarter and roof - subtle, different, better? It has a great stance and looks great passing you...
  2. Bumblebee refers to the Transformer character, not associated with stripes - Chrysler or insect. He, or it, had racing stripes in one incarnation.
  3. Maybe that guy is just really tall. Like, really, really tall. A very tall cowboy.
  4. Pegasus makes them with wide whites as well.
  5. Thanks. It looks like the '65 Bonnie promos have something similar - thanks for the lead...
  6. It's not perfect, but it's the best we have. I've never really had issues beyond user error. Make sure the surface is perfectly smooth. Try to pull it off the sheet without wrinkling it or allowing it to fold onto itself, use a moist toothpick to burnish, polish with soft cloth, use new sharp blade (scalpel blades if you can find them), paint tip of blade black (sharpie), and don't be afraid to remove, discard, and try again. I have also found MM chrome enamel works very well for touch up - small areas you miss or areas that tear while burnishing or on seems you want to hide.
  7. Anybody ever seen anything close to this in 1/25? One of my long term planning projects is a '66 Tempest with the Sprint 6...
  8. If it's an aircraft, I would have just left it there. No, not really. Nice timing!
  9. You can try Renshape - it is a machinable material - you can sometimes find peices on eBay or go to THIS website and buy a sample kit for $25 (unless you want a 4 by 8 sheet ) The sample kit comes with a bunch of different materials you can try and are small, but large enough for hobby use - a salesman may call you later and see if you want to buy more, just tell him you're just a hobbyist.
  10. Cool! Great work and thanks for the info on wheels/tires.
  11. Looking great. I like the green color and the combo on the interior. One thing I noticed about the kit is either the valve cover is too small or the head is too big - there shouldn't be that much head showing under the cover. Here is a real engine for comparison:
  12. Yes, you get 12 free pictures with your listing. Funny, does the seller not see $2500 as a large investment? If I am spending that kind of green on something, you better darn well give me ALL THE PHOTOS I WANT!!!! Some sellers think they have the upper hand - yeah, no. The buyer is the one that needs to be accomodated.
  13. Any idea where we can get them? It's a full conversion - interior parts too. Casting looked good in pics...
  14. Just saw a wagon conversion for Revell's 1950 Olds kit on eBay - anybody know who makes the resin wagon conversion?
  15. I did, when it was the "walking" dead. I got bored when it turned to the "talking" dead. The first two seasons were really pretty good, but I haven't been able to get into it following the governor bit and the extremely hokey "raid" on the town.
  16. $10.99 minis 40 % - never, NEVER buy anything at Hobby Lobby without the coupon. Comes to 'bout $7 with tax...and for the best primer money can buy, not bad...
  17. Trim decals. Apply decals. Use micro sol. Apply flat clear. I have had fairly good luck with just keeping it simple. I use kit decals and also have a few from Fireball Modelworks, Slixx, and some unknown maker.
  18. Meteor or Monterey? Either way, nice job!! Love those early 60s Mercs! Great model and save.
  19. Excellent work Fred! Great idea and execution.
  20. Back from the depths…great to get one out and keep it going! The decals look very cool.
  21. I'm in the process of letting other people store a lot of my kits.
  22. The Nismo track version is cool - the "standard" one in back needs some tweaking.
  23. That is one cool Fiat. 10,000 euros? Believe it all the way. That is awesome.
  24. I thought Terry Jessee lived in the Billings area…maybe not. Montana's a big place... Terry Jessee is a rather famous guy, as far as modelers go (and people who used to read SAE…)
