  1. Here's what I drive for fun. Currently has the original 240 6-banger. Just a little rust in the bed and a small hole in the core support. Plans are for a 5.0 or 351 Windsor. I have the original sales order and plates from the dealership in north Texas. The picture of the front is right after I bought it a few years ago.
  2. Very nice save. I've always wanted a unibody but I had to settle for a short bed due to prices.
  3. This comment made me remember something painful. I'm ashamed to say that I, not once, but twice have thrown away my entire collection of kits. First time was when I went to college. I was a "grown up" and didn't have time for them...I thought. Last time was in the early 1980s. I was making a cross country move and simply didn't have room for them. I didn't have time or a method to sell them and had no friends who wanted them, so into the dumpster they went. I remember cringing just a bit when I actually compressed the kits by standing on them to make more room. Not my finest hour...
  4. Not sure it's really rare but prices are now nuts. I bought this several years ago when they were still reasonably priced. I'm afraid to build it now.
  5. Great looking Riv! I'd cruise it.
  6. Wow, that's really beautiful. ?
  7. Nice setup! Congrats on your move and retirement! I see you're into RC, an addictive and painfully expensive diversion. At one time I had over 60 vintage (1980s) RC cars. Sold them all off when I retired.
  8. Just snagged these two parts bikes early this morning. Seller said no idea on scale but I'm pretty sure the Kawasaki is the Mach III drag bike in 1/8. The BSA may be from the Revell Grease 2 1/25 kit, but I'm not sure. Anyone know what's what?
  9. A WIP would indicate that I actually could concentrate on one thing at a time and actually make some...well...progress.
  10. I need one of these desperately to represent my first car paid for with my money. Got it for $800 and an old Dodge 880 my dad gave me. No way am I paying stupid Ebay prices for it.
  11. This is Archie, the anarchist. He's a miniature golden retriever. Half golden, half St. Charles Cavalier. I know he looks harmless but he's doing a stretch in prison right now trying to get his act together. He's destroyed so many of my wife's clothes. We sure do miss him. Comes home May 1st.
  12. Great looking Challenger. This appears to be the "before" version. I had the original movie on DVD and loaned it to a friend at work. He brought it back and said, "that's 90 minutes of my life I'll never get back." Definitely a cult movie and an acquired taste. ?
  13. Great job! This is a very convincing replica. I love these kits' details.
  14. Great job on the tank paint! I appreciate the info on masking. I have one of these kits and all the things I'm reading are making my itchy to get it out.
  15. Between UPS, USPS, Fedex, DHL and Amazon it's getting pretty difficult to determine who holds the title for worst delivery service. I've had trouble with all of them over the last year or so.
  16. Looks as if I could get in and drive away...if I wasn't so darn tall.?
  17. This makes all my piddling worthwhile. For me it's always more about possibilities than cranking out cookie cutter kits. I have also found more enjoyment trying to turn a glue bomb into something than I get from starting new kits.
  18. Continuing my obsessive 1/8 bike acquisition obsession. Just won the Honda Scrambler this morning in the wee hours (It was 7 o'clock). Parts are supposed to be complete. Got the 950SS and the Kawasaki Drag Bike the in the mail yesterday. The Honda still has most of it's shrink wrap and has original price tag from Alliance Hobbies at $43.95 but marked down to $30.75! I paid substantially more than that but had to have it. The Kawasaki is complete and mint minus the instructions. Also paid too much for that, but got a better deal than most of the ones listed at crazy prices.
  19. These are not all of them but I have just about 300 kits right now. I have no plans or desire to downsize as I have plenty room and no anxiety about whether or not I'll ever get to them all (I won't). I enjoy looking at them and my wife doesn't mind. Top shelf over the door is two deep.
  20. Schweet!?
  21. Oh man, this looks like it will be cool!
  22. Nice job on the interior. The seat pleats are very convincing!
  23. This truck looks like it's just going on it's first delivery run. I have one of these and this is quite inspiring! Very nice, clean work.
  24. Recently acquired toys include the 1/8 Revell 79 Trans Am which I got cheaper from Germany than any US vendors had it, and these two bike kits. Although the boxes (boxen?) are a little rough, both are mint inside.
  25. You should try reading Reddit or one of the other social disaster platforms. If this is our future, I want no part of it.
