  1. This is the Revell Foose 2013 Challenger SRT8. I needed something to build that didn't require painting the body. It's nice kit that could be kitbashed with the Revell 2009 Challenger SRT8 kit if you want added detail.
  2. I'm not 100% sure if I am going to use a wraparound windshield just yet. It is an idea that I have in mind. Thanks! Progress on the TBird has been slow to say the least. I got the wheels and tires assembled. I didn't like the wide whitewall on the tire, so I used a black Sharpie on the insert and narrowed the whitewall itself. Now I need to add a black wash to the wheels. I got the front seats together, but I need to sand the edges before I paint them. The engine has been assembled. I have a distributor from MAD that I will be using for this build. More to come...
  3. Since Photobucket wants to extort $400 for the purpose of posting pictures of my models, I have started an account with IMGUR and have reposted the photos of my current projects. I will not repost all of my previous projects.
  4. I have switch to a new photohosting site since Photobucket wants a $400 extortion to be able to post pictures. I have reposted my pictures on my current builds, but I will not repost all of my previous builds.
  5. Thanks to Photobucket's $400 extortion, I went and started a IMGUR account and reposted all my pictures for this build. I will not be reposting all my pictures for older builds.
  6. I have been in a slump for almost two weeks now and I am trying to dig myself out of it. My wife Wanda bought me this kit a few months ago and after reading the instructions, I decided to build it. Not much painting involved and it gives me the building time I need. The engine block and the wheels. I had to order another front tire since they included three rears and one front tire. The exhaust tips were painted silver, so I painted them with my Molotow Liquid Chrome pen. More to come...
  7. It's no hackjob. I got the email from Photobucket this morning. It was posted on their website about a change in Terms In Service for sometime now and now all my pictures posted here and on other forums are gone. 3rd Party Hosting is only available with the top plan that they offer. 3rd Party Hostong is when you post a link from Photobucket onto a forum or webpage and an image is to appear.
  8. I do see myself as a supporter by steering others who don't have a photohosting site to Photobucket. I've been doing this for years. I also realize that what I am doing doesn't generate any monetary income for them, just giving them another member who may or may not pay them for their service. This all comes at a time when my funds are low and I don't have the $400 for them to continue hosting my pictures for a year. This whole thing has made me angry and I am trying to adjust, and yes, vent a little bit here.
  9. After 12 years of being a loyal Photobucket user, they want me to fork over $400 a year for the ability to be able to post my model car pictures on this or any other forum or website. I am retired and I cannot afford this kind of extortion! I'll find another free photohosting site and post my pictures from there. I won't be reposting my pictures from the new site since I have been a member here for 8 years and it would be a monumental task. I want to tell PB my displeasure with their actions, but they don't have any working links to customer support or service. I understand that they are a business, but when you offer a free photohosting service, you don't go and pull the rug out from under your supporters. OK, I'll get off my soapbox now.
  10. Thanks Jeremy! It's coming along slowly and I have to get this off the bench soon!
  11. Thanks Ron and Steve! Steve, I have the engine completed and installed into the chassis so I won't by wiring it and I am going with the fuel injection unit. Smoothed out the first couple of coats of paint and applied two more coats. More to come...
  12. The Story A while later, McNally comes to lying on the cold concrete floor. With his good eye open he looks out through the cell bars while trying to sit up against the cell bunk and he sees Chief Banning leaning against the wall holding a bag of ice over his knuckles. "You've got a hard head, but you need to tell me why you were talking to the Tate's," says the Chief. Again McNally says what he said two days ago, "I ain't tellin' you nuthin' coppa'!" Chief Banning kicks the cell door and walks out of the cell block. The Build With the exception of touchups, the chassis is complete. Since the Bronco comes with a trailer hitch, I went and drilled a hole and inserted a ball head pin with the pin shaft cut down for a hitch ball. What's a trailer hitch without a trailer hitch ball?!!! McNally will return...
  13. Don't worry Jeremy! Chief Banning will get what he deserves!
  14. I finally got around to giving the Sinkhole Corvette a coat of Tamiya TS-14 Black. I have more coats to apply later. More to come...
  15. The Story Once again the Chief comes into McNally's cell and again he beats on the Boston PI. Blows to the face and the body and again he is asked, "Why are you talking to the Tate's?" And, he still refuses to answer. The beatings go on for 10 more minutes and then the Chief leaves the cell with McNally lying on the cold concrete floor. The Build Now that the humidity has gone, I decided to paint the Bronco. This time with Tamiya TS-10 French Blue. McNally will return...
  16. Looking good! I have this kit and I'm thinking about making it the '84 version with the reversed paint scheme and using the photoetch parts from Model Car Garage. Looking forward to more!
  17. The seats will not be painted, but clearcoated with semi-gloss clear. In some cases, why paint white when the white plastic will do? I only paint white if the shade of white is different, ie. darker or lighter. I happen to like the color of this white plastic and clearcoating with semi gloss clear will give me the sheen I am looking for.
  18. I'm looking forward to the sidecar races! Those guys are just NUTS!!!
  19. Thanks Jeremy! I've gotta get the Bronco into primer and paint so I can try out my new dehydrator!
  20. A moment of opportunity to work on the Sinkhole Corvette! I'm still finding mold lines that I have to contend with especially on the nose of the '62 Corvette! The mold line runs from headlight to headlight between the Corvette letters and the Corvette emblem and I don't want to risk losing those details. My friend and fellow Classic Plastic Model Club member Paul suggested that I use a piece of tape and cover the scripts so I wouldn't accidentally sand off those scripts. Looks like it did the trick! I think I have gotten most, if not all of the mold lines. Classic Plastic Model Club member John aka GASSER#1 gave me the hardtop for the Corvette so I can complete this model. Thank you John! More to come...
  21. The Story The following morning, McNally is pulled off the bunk and onto the cold concrete floor of the jail cell. He looks up and sees the Police Chief's face with his right eye and he is hammered a few more times across the face. The Chief picks him up off the floor and hits McNally several times in the stomach and again in the face. He asks McNally why he is talking to the Tate's and McNally again declines to answer. The Chief hits McNally really hard in the stomach and the Boston PI falls to the cold concrete floor again. It's really difficult to defend yourself when your hands are tied behind your back. The Build Another mockup. The engine has been wired, wheel covers are on, and the decals have been applied to the seats. The spare tire carrier needs a clamp to hold the carrier from swinging outward so I found a piece of plastic for part of the clamp assembly. The spare tire has the extra set of black letter decals applied and this will get a coat of semi gloss clear. McNally will return...
