My contribution to the Classic Plastic Model Club Club Challenge-Revell 1963 Chevrolet Impala SS. To be painted with Dupli-Color Light Metallic Blue inside and out like my 1961 and 1962 Impalas. I have until October 5th to finish this when we have our Exhibition. I just have to decide on which version to build.

Hi Don! Thanks for your interest in my U.N.C.L.E. car. I have lost interest in my U.N.C.L.E. car. The project was taking me so long to finish, that my interest in the model just up and left me. This is to say that my interest wouldn't return some day. It has left me.

Thanks Rich! I started thinking that there was an extra rear axle in the kit and a little research got me the information that both axles are the same except the differential cover. The gold really does look great!
-
Thanks Carl and Richard! I figured out that if I use the second axle in the kit and use some of the parts from the W-27 axle, I wouldn't have to worry about lining up the three broken axle pieces and pinning them together. I just added the center hub of the rear axle and all is fine. Thank you Google.

It has been a while since I have paid any attention to the Revell 442 that is on my bench. I notice a dip on the right side of the rear suspension and proceeded to take the suspension apart and in the process, I broke the rear axle in two. I am trying to figure out how the axle got that way and repair it. Something didn't go in right!

I have finished my F-150 Raptor and it is posted in Under Glass. I would like to thank all those who have viewed and/or commented on my WIP. -

Thank you Craig! The pictures are appreciated. I have pictures of the car in question as well. As I go through this kit, I am finding parts that the instructions do not have any recollection of. I can use the extra air cleaner and distributor, but there is also the high rise intake and small air cleaners, fuel inlets and filters in the kit that the instructions don't call for or list. I have begun work on the grille for the '71 SS and so far, it is not bad. Some more work, a little paint and we will be golden!

Bill, I plan on adding styrene strips around the headlights, side marker lights and the grille to return the grille to a '71 style. It won't be perfect, but it hopefully it will be close. I hope to be using .010 X .030 styrene strips,

Thanks Eddie Arrajj! This Chevelle body is exactly how you had described it! It is the 1970 Chevelle body with the side markers on the lower front fenders. Nothing a sanding stick can't cure! The basic engine block has been assembled and painted. Now for the engine wiring and all the rest of the parts. The Revell '70 Torino GT gave up it's Cragar SS mags for this kit.

Thanks Brian! I was hoping to finish the car before the series ended, but the last episode is this Friday and I just thought of this conversion. Oh well...
-
Another project to get started on! 1972 Chevelle SS backdated to a 1971 Chevelle SS454. This car is from the TV series, "Blue Bloods". Originally, the car was owned by Joseph Reagan who was killed by fellow Policemen known as the Blue Templar. Jamie Reagan took over ownership of the car and then the car was crashed in an attempt to kill the youngest Reagan.. In season 14, Jamie gave the car to Joe Hill since it was originally Joseph Reagan's car and Joe Hill is the late Joseph Reagan's son. I will attempt to change to grille to a 1971 vintage and remove the 1970 Chevy side markers.

Thanks Carl! I appreciate that you try to follow along.

I have the Revellogram Mustang GT and the Mustang Cobra built and a Mustang Cobra in the stash. The Revellogram GT and Cobra were fun builds, but this AMT kit is not starting out that way. The quality control was not existent when this kit came out. Now I must be patient and work on this Mustang GT as needed. Now I understand why I prefer Revell model kits and others versus AMT/Round2 kits. But, then I have known of this for some time now! Thanks DJ!

This is a horrible kit with many problems with it. So far, I have had to study closely the instruction sheet for the reassembly (several times) of the cylinder heads and I have issues with the front end of the body plus all of the scraping of the extra flash.
-
I was going to start this later, but now seems like a good time for it! This is the AMT '97 Ford Mustang GT and the body is partially assembled. The body paint will be Dupli-Color Amazon Green Metallic with a tan and black interior. The model will be built stock with some wiring on the engine. So far there is a ton of flash on this model and for this much flash, the model should be a lot older than this. Let the scraping begin!

The Raptor is up on 4 wheels! The Hemi Orange and the Black paint look great! Now to get some Gloss Clearcoat.
