  1. Thanks guys! One thing is for sure about any of the Scout II kits is the lack of detail. No brakes or booster, no wiper motor, no nothing! While the kit is stamped with a 2021 date code on the inside and AMT packaging, this kit goes back to the '70s-'80s as it is somewhat crude. I have an original ERTL International Offroad Scout SS II and it is basically the same as the Scout II kit with many of the same components and parts.
  2. My completed Scout II with a CB radio, white lettered tires, 5 slot custom wheels and a 345 CI V8 with an automatic transmission. The paint is Tamiya TS-43 Racing Green with a Tamiya TS-26 Pure White roof and a Tamiya TS-46 Light Sand interior.
  3. From any 2006 Ford Mustang kit!
  4. Jim, those rims are going to stay on that T-Bird!
  5. Thanks Alan! The Scout II is almost done.
  6. Thanks Carl! Yes, the Green looks great with the white!
  7. Thanks Ken! I appreciate it!
  8. I spent part of the afternoon cleaning up the Scout II from the mess I had made of it. Then I added some chrome trim around the windows. So far, this mockup is good!
  9. I performed a mockup this morning before I set the front suspension in place permanently. I wanted to get a sense of where and how the body will look on the chassis. So far, so good!
  10. It appears that AMT and Revell are producing a few similar themed kits and I don't know where they are getting the rights to produce them.
  11. Good luck with this build John! I built the AMT kit years ago as the Diamonds Are Forever '71 Mustang and I had to buy the resin aftermarket wheels to complete the look of the 1:1 car. I'm sure the newer AMT kit is a little closer to the 1:1.
  12. Thanks Alan! Just need to polish and wax the finish and do some assembly and she will be done.
  13. Thanks Bob! This SUV is coming along slowly, but it is coming along!
  14. Thank you Dirk, Larry, Carl, David, Chris, Ken, Jeff and Jeremy! I guess I have forgotten about this Bel Air. Sorry!
  15. Thanks Donato! I am taking my time with this one and hopefully it will come out looking great!
  16. I painted the roof with Tamiya TS-26 Pure White.
  17. Thanks Carl!
  18. The rear suspension has been completed except for touchups.
  19. I finally painted the Scout II this morning. Have a look! The top will be painted white.
  20. 1956 Ford Thunderbird Tear down of the '56 T-Bird is complete and I have started repainting and rebuilding the Bird. The engine is mostly complete with rebuilding the motor and repainting it. Now, on to other parts.
  21. Thanks Jim! I will be sure not to break anything important!
  22. Most of them. Some I can repair, but I might have to replace 1 or 2 pieces. Joe Baril of my Classic Plastic Model Club says he might have a parts kit for me. We shall see.
