  1. Saw this on Tom's board. Really nicely done! Where did you get the resin body/kit? Details, please!
  2. My Brother-in-Law gave me this kit for Christmas. So far, it's coming along nicely. The wheels in this kit, I think, are pretty nice. As most of you know, it's a model of the TV car, which was in itself a clone of the Daytona running on (I think) a Corvette C3 chassis. The kit reflects that with it's Chevy engine and chassis. Still, a fun kit. Needs polishing, small details, etc. I think I'm going to go with the top down. Anywho, thanks for looking!
  3. It's a really nice kit, and yours turned out impressive!
  4. That is nice. Can you share some details about how you did the tailgate lettering?
  5. The luggage rack really sets the car off! Nice work!
  6. What did you use for the purple? It looks great!
  7. Thanks. I used Tamiya Spray Lacquers for the blue and yellow. Sprayed the yellow, gave it a day, and masked for the blue. The blue covered nicely. I see I need to clean up some edges. I did manage to get the hood decaled, using the second sheet (whew!) Maybe this weekend ....
  8. Some nice work you have going on there!
  9. I've had this kit in my collection for ages. After my daughter mentioned that it looked like a cool car, I figured I should build it. I'm on the second paint job. And I've combined decals from three sheets - all Monogram kit decals; but like me, they are a bit old. So, after clear coating the decals with Testors Decal Fixative, I've gotten this far. I need to clean up the decal solvent residue once I finish and I'll be clearcoating this joker. More to go ....
  10. Looks really great!
  11. All of these look great! Slixx decals or the Revell ones?
  12. I've been looking for a kit of this car lately. Did you use only the decals from the kit? It looks really good.
  13. Nice color choice!
  14. That is the coolest thing I've seen all day!
  15. Not too shabby at all! I like it.
  16. I love it! Add a baby seat?
  17. Some really nice work you have going on there! I'm in the bury the decals under clear camp - it just eases my mind in terms of longevity; although I suppose if they car is in the display case, it probably doesn't matter as much. Anyway, nice build and great eye for details!
  18. Any chance there's some plaid inserts on that decal sheet that's hidden under the leftmost box? I'm guessing not, but that would be cool if it were the case. It's amazing how small these cars were. Our local Honda dealer had one sitting on the showroom floor for a couple of years recently, as part of a "history of honda" thing.
  19. that's sweet!
  20. looking forward to seeing more of this. I remember when these were "hot" cars...
  21. I really like that groovy signage!
  22. That looks real!
  23. Stunning is the only word that comes to mind.
  24. I just hope it's backed up frequently.
  25. Looks like a lot of the older cars I see around town. Nice work!
