  1. Interesting that the number appears to be made of electrical tape ...
  2. I suppose any reference pictures from this race would be helpful - they'd all have the right-hand fuel filler; stop light; wiper; etc. ... thanks!
  3. That's a drag! I was mostly interested in the paint scheme.
  4. For the fuel filler - it appears there is an indention where the fuel filler would normally be? For the other details you mentioned (taillight, defroster, wiper motor) - do you have any references I could see? My internet searches have not turned up much .... thanks.
  5. I've had the Revell Wally Dallenbach Monte Carol (Woody Woodpecker) hanging around in my stash for a long time. I've decided to give it a whirl. I've never actually completed a NASCAR kit, although I've started plenty of them. Anyway ... the picture on the box clearly shows the car running in the rain - complete with single windshield wiper, and what appears to be mesh covering the air ducts in the quarter window (and maybe even under the windshield). I am assuming rain tires are being used. So ... any thoughts on 1) how can I mimic this mesh? 2) does anyone even make Nascar rain tires? 3) how is the wiper even attached? 4) what other details might be present for a car run in the rain? Lastly, does anyone have any reference pics of this particular car? thanks! (Image borrowed from Mike's Decals!)
  6. That Lotus looks great! Most of the ones I've seen built sit way too high. Did you modify the suspension any?
  7. A true snake pit!
  8. Nice work and I'm enjoying seeing what you do with this old gem.
  9. This is the coolest thing I've seen lately!
  10. And then sell us copies!
  11. That Roadster version
  12. Nicely done!
  13. At least one of the releases of the S'Cool bus included a tinted, die-cut sheet of plastic. This was one of them. I think it really adds to the kit.
  14. Stellar work!
  15. That is beautifully built!
  16. I always enjoy seeing what you come up with!
  17. The Tom Daniel's S'Cool Bus! I'd never built this kit before. I highly recommend it for a break from the ordinary. The old Monogram 924 Turbo. Gifted to my by my brother-in-law two years ago. I'd like to have another go at one of these kits. My attempt at a restomod. And I finally finished the Revell Eclipse from back when. I clearly have stance issues.. Good grief! I forgot I'd finished this one earlier this year! Between family (most important), tinkering in the garage, and that other time-consumer (work), it's hard to get much extended time at the bench. Thanks for letting me vicariously experience building by being on the board! Merry Christmas, Happy New Year
  18. I see potential, but I can certainly understand your frustration.
  19. I've been exploring the NASCAR section of the forum lately and just stumbled across this. So - bump! This is so very cool and well executed!
  20. That's shaping up nicely. The grille and the stance both look especially good. I have one of these in my stash, but the multi-piece body seems daunting.
  21. I had forgotten about those. How would one of the 1/25 AMT kits look beside one of the 1/24 Revell kits? Out of place or okay? thanks!
  22. Been working on a Revell Wally Dallenbach Woody Woodpecker themed kit from the stash. Of course this leads me to want to build a newer car or two for the shelf. Did anyone make a kit of the ugly, boxy, funky looking C.O.T. (Car of Tomorrow) from the mid 2000's in 1/24? Like this sort of thing:
  23. Very cool! I thought all of these fictional / throwback schemes were neat!
  24. That is looking very nice!
  25. Yes, thank you!
