  1. Nicely done Mark! Never thought of a bearded Dragon as dessert, but hey, if it were deep fried, maybe
  2. Yeah baby!
  3. Nice!
  4. Looking good Steve!
  5. Zac, Welcome to the site and modeling again! You might want to just trade off the 84 GMC 4x4 for a 2WD stepside instead, but if you must use what you have, don't use the lifting blocks out back & rob a 2WD setup for the front, just as Steve shows, get yourself a stepside bed, & you'll be in business!
  6. Thanks for posting! I can see this kit being a donor for other projects, especially the wheels/tires!
  7. I'd like to start doing some casting myself... If we could just get our own Art Anderson to write a book
  8. Very nice Jim! Gotta go get one of these!
  9. Another GREAT build from you Bryan!
  10. Here's another carving material, found thanks to Matt @ Dencon. I haven't tried it yet, but looks promising also, maybe Matt has tried it? Balsa foam linky
  11. What an imagination you have Chuck!
  12. As always Chuck, very cool build!
  13. Thanks everyone for the positive comments! I'm just putting my spin on an awesome design by Peter, also hoping to inspire the others here lucky enough to get one of these cool bodies! As far as wheels go, been trying a few, no decisions made yet, or for paint color either for that matter! Michelle, if I don't use the wheels/tires from the Vickie for this or any other project, I'll drop you a PM.
  14. After trying several different roofs (including chopping up a 1967 Corvette coupe sorry), I finally decided I liked the roof & windshield frame best from the AMT 32 Ford phantom Vickie. Actually using the body shell inside Peter's creation, to allow proper fitting of the roof, and for a cool interior! In fact, the kit will be giving up quite a few donor parts. Here's how it looks with the roof in place, with enlarged, ovalized rear window, and cut- down body sides to flow with the theme:
  15. Welcome to the best model car site on the planet Bryan! Awesome work you do, and a wide variety of subjects!
  16. It's a rigid foam, very carveable, easy to sand, cut, etc. It will CA glue to anything! Get yourself a free sample kit & start shaping!
  17. Nice panel, correct or not!
  18. Billy, here's how I do them... This stuff is great for stuff that requires more thickness than styrene sheets can provide... http://www.signfoam.com/product.php?mode=sf3 I sent for a free sample kit from the manufacturer, still can't find any locally yet. The kit consists of three 8" x 8" x.750" boards in each of the three densities. You can request a sample kit online, came in a few days! building a flare...first, a 2" holesaw used to get started...I used the most dense (18): rough shaping to fit body curvature... I left this thing big for as long as possible, to make it easier to handle! razor saw cuts it like butter! I used a coping saw to cut out the inner portion... kinda fragile at this point & harder to shape, but not terribly so... I think it's still a bit too big looking, but it's close. Hot primer has no affect on this stuff...multiple coats with sanding in between will be required to seal the open "cells" for a smooth surface. All in all, this stuff opens up new possibilities. Very easy to cut, shape, carve, whatever you need! Now to find a local supplier that carries thinner sheets & will sell scraps!
  19. Nice paint work!
  20. Excellent!
  21. Very cool Jeep Chris!
  22. Congrats! Wishing you & yours good luck with the health concerns!
