  1. Excellent Rob! Just like the street machines we remember so fondly from our youth
  2. Super realistic Matt! Great stance...PERFECT!
  3. Most excellent Pat!
  4. Great job!
  5. Another cool project Dan! I knew about these AMT '67 fastbacks that were supposed to be custom '68s, but had only seen the box, never the contents. A quick search on eBay shows this one of quite a few that have sold recently: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VTG-AMT-BUILT-1-25-SCALE-1967-FOR-1968-CHEVY-IMPALA-HARDTOP-ORIGINAL-ANNUAL-KIT-/400476813820?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item5d3e4739fc&nma=true&si=lxkxMv6SxQ99%2BvZXtdCrwYIrKSk%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 Good luck, you've got your work cut out for you!

    T-Hot

    Nicely built!
  9. Looks GREAT Steve! Different pics and you'd be fooled it was a 1:1
  10. Thread merger please... http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=74880&hl=
  11. Nicely weathered & rusted!!!
  12. For once Rich, the weather here is better than where you're visiting! It hasn't rained in about 5-6 days (I lost count, how often does THAT happen in the western PA/NE Ohio area? ) and they aren't predicting any for several more days!!! More than likely though, once you get back it'll rain
  13. Skip, I'm sure you have sufficient skills to duplicate and/or reinforce some of these spindly parts with brass or aluminum...most suspension parts are easy to replicate...try it!
  14. Nice Carl! Looks GREAT in silver!
  15. That's puuuurty!!!
  16. Mike, thanks for taking the time to do this thread! Much appreciated Your pics of the IMAI body have in fact confirmed what I had heard...this "Super Beetle" isn't so super Looks like a whole lot of scratching and kitbashing will be in order to replicate a proper Super Beetle.
  17. Nicely done Ron! Funny how that snap kit is the most accurate looking '57 out there! Really represents the 1:1 well... Carl, those sweet rims are included in the kit, but Casey also repops them in flawless bare resin
  18. Cool project Mike! It's always fun bashing different kits together to achieve the model/year/trim level of our 1:1s Does the IMAI kit really represent a Super Beetle with the correct rounded/bulged nose and front strut suspension? I've heard the actual styrene differs from the box art. I need to replicate a '72 Super someday...
  19. Very cool Ray!
  20. Awesome Steve!!! As a 1:1 '68 Impala owner, I can really appreciate this build
  21. Wow! Super nice Tom! Looks like a 1:1 structure
  22. Rob, if you need a set or two, let me know & I'll send 'em, I've got waaay too many
