  5. Very cool Jim!!! That HEMI seems to fit nicely in there
  6. I try to go twice a month, for a 40% off kit or if the selection is bad, paint. But it's got over 400 HP, right Bill?
  7. NICELY DONE Harry!!! Your extra detailing always improves your builds from box-stock.
  8. Put up a poll of what kits are in your stash Carl We'll vote, and you build what gets the biggest number!

  10. Nicely done Joe!
  11. LOVE the drive-ins!!! Being a teen in the eighties, they were a weekend ritual pretty much all summer My '68 Impala was the car of choice for our larger groups too...two or three of us up front, three in the trunk! There are several still in our area, in fact one very close to my work is open YEAR ROUND (weather permitting of course). My bride & I go as much as possible, the kiddos like it too!
  12. I JUST got off the phone with the club president, Jim. The SHOW IS ON!!! for Sunday, September 29th. More details to follow as he's mailing me a flyer, I'll post it up as soon as I receive it. WOO HOO!!! Love this show!

  14. Welcome from across the Ohio river Patrick! You've missed a lot in the years you've been away, but it's a GREAT time to return! New tooled kits, lots of reissues, and great aftermarket support
  15. Hey Dan, for removing raised details like this, I personally take a sharpie marker and blacken all around the area and use a small, sharp wood chisel to CAREFULLY remove small layers (not all at once). Try not to scratch off the black and you'll be assured you aren't undercutting styrene you don't want removed! Then you can proceed with sanding (and the black works nicely as a guide coat as in 1:1 bodywork). A coat or two of liquid cement afterwards will prevent ghosting of the raised area. Primer and a bit more sanding and you're there! Practice on a scrap body if in doubt...
  16. Oooh, very nice!!!
  17. Has anyone here heard about this years show? Can't find any info online anywhere and the contact person on the '12 flyer has not returned my email yet... GREAT show, sure hope it's on for September
  18. But you wouldn't get the same 'satisfaction' with the new kit
  19. Very nicely done Steve! I've been wondering what these looked like built, now I've gotta get one!

  21. Super nice Ray!!! Very creative!
  22. Nice project Sonny! If the kit wheels are like those on the box art, you've already got the ones you want, just take the centers and place them in aluminum sleeves Love me some Pantera, I'll be watching!
