  1. Wow, very beautiful builds! Fantastic paint jobs on both, and I really like the detailing too. If the pics were taken on Drag Strip or something like that, I would be sure that they are 1:1 Scale builds. Great Job!
  2. Wow, my old WIP thread has reborn! For the front suspension, I will use parts from AMT '67 Mustang, but since no one has offered me the front axle parts only, I guess I have to buy brand new kit for that. I think the biggest problem is making those front inner fenders. Okay, I do have those Mustang parts, but I have started to wonder if it would be easier to completely scratchbuild those inner fenders than using Mustang parts as a basis... Well let's see. I can't wait to see your build, Eric. There can never be enough AMC Drag Cars!
  3. We sure do . Not my pictures either, but I hope these help. Those look really old, I was looking at them too at a Swap Meet we had last weekend.
  4. Thanks a lot Scott, I appreciate it. You are right about these kits, too. I have many different '64 Dodges/Plymouths on my stash too. Well I got the body polished up, and it turned out pretty good I think. Not my best, though but I still like it. I also added some black to the Door and trunk lines with Tamiya Panel Line Accent color. It works very nicely. Next I have to paint the body from inside and install the glasses. I also worked with the chassis, I painted all details from the Firewall and installed it. Brake lines are installed to the Brake Master Cylinder. I scratchbuilt Battery cable connectors (What is the real English name for them?) from styrene, because I had no photo etch parts this time. I glued them to the battery and installed those inner fenders, other battery cable is connected too, other one will be done tomorrow. Also I put the alternator wires on place and made a very simple carburetor linkage before hiding it by that huge air cleaner. Here are some pictures.
  5. Atte Nyberg's Chevy Camaro with Blown Methanol engine, to me it sounds very ProMod like. It didn't work that nicely on its first race, but I guess they will make it run nicely to the next season. It's a shame I can't get the sound in this image... Then Hannu Flink's '41 Willys. This has huge engine and NOS, best ET so far 6,9. He does always very nice burnouts! And one Video I filmed at Finals 2012:
  6. Sorry guys I forgot this topic completely and just came across it when I was looking at older posts. Here we go again, more Super Pro Street Cars. Tomi Pellinen's '56 Chevy. It has Blown Methanol engine and it sounds just like ProMod to me... Steel bodied. This is pretty wild car... Kaj Erik Nieminen's Chevy Corvette. It has big engine and some NOS.
  7. And the same guy has this one too. '32 Ford with 348 BBC. This car has Drag Race History from the Old Days. That's it, hope you enjoyed.
  8. And the last set. This car is the Art Russel Plymouth what won Grand National Roadster show back in the day. Nowadays it's located in Finland.
  9. This is just too cool not to post it in here. As you probably know, we have a long winter here in Finland and a lot of snow, so they organized Ice Race for American Cars in Helsinki. These are not my pictures, but I think they are really cool. What do you think?
  10. Thanks Ron. I'm happy with the engine too, even if it's done few years ago. Only modification I will do for it is to clean up the Fuel Injection painting a little, otherwise I like it. I will do some sanding tomorrow, maybe some putty work too. Hope to get it painted soon.
  11. Also I started polishing the body. The top and Trunk lid are polished now, tomorrow I'll polish the sides and post some better pictures of them. Trying to get it done in few weeks.
  12. Thanks, Carl! Much appreciated. Well today I got a lot done. First I installed the cauge panel to the Dashboard, painted the cauges black and after that I rubbed the paint off from the letters. I continued by gluing the steering wheel and testing my new Panel Line Accent Color by Tamiya for the door panels (Excellent stuff, worth buying). After that I put everything together and we have a Finished Interior. Not my bests, but still I'm pretty happy about it. Note the Door Panels, what are sheet metal from other side, and other side has the stock upholstery pattern.
  13. Thanks John! Here is a minor update. I sprayed paint and clear to the Dashboard. I hope I can add some details tomorrow to it. Also the interior should be assembled soon....
  14. Thanks for the tip Bill, I will make a Dry fit tomorrow and see if it needs little adjusting. The Thunderbolts you posted in Under Glass while back were great! It is always nice to see Vintage Drag Cars being built. A little update, too. I painted the chassis today with Matt Black. I have all axles etc painted, so if everything goes allright, I should have them installed tomorrow.
  15. That turned out excellent! I like the look of that car, it looks very good as an AWB. Great engine details and nice paint job, too. I'd be very proud of that one.
  16. Yep, it is much worse than the old Photobucket version was. When that new version came up and it was still possible to use the Older version too, I switched back right away... Luckily the pictures upload to the correct album nowadays, few days ago they went every time to wrong place when I uploaded them. Doesn't matter if I chose the correct album where they should be uploaded or not. I'm hoping of getting the interior finished today...
  17. This is going to be built like "It could have Raced in the '60s" so there's no 1:1 car what I'm trying to replicate. It will be built bit like how I would have built it if I had raced (Or actually lived) in the '60s. As for the interior color, I try to do my best, we don't have much Tamiya paints in here but we have some other strange brands which I guess have a color shade pretty close to that. I must print that picture and head to the nearest Hobby Shop. Little update, I built the Roll bar using the '57 Chevy Roll bar as a basis (Red part) and the white parts are made from "EverGreen Transkit". They are just Mocked up.
  18. Thanks Steve and Tom! These are really nice kits and they build up very nice. Also I like the Slant Six engine in that stock '64 Belvedere kit. I had to add some more putty to the Dashboard, but after that it looked really good to me so I painted it Gloss black. I'm hoping to get it installed today, if I do so I'll post another picture....
  19. Thanks Guys! Matti: Post pictures of your '64 Dodge also. I'd really like to see how it comes together. Well not much done since the latest update, I have been mostly painting other projects, and also got the chassis of Thunderbolt primered. It needed some putty, though because the removed Copyright textes could still be seen. After a little sanding and new Primer coat, I came up with this. Next I'll paint it black and hopefully continue the interior work, too.
  20. Thanks Richard! I have been doing bodywork and it's coming slowly. There has been some need for putty and now it's the Third primer coat on the body, and it's not done yet even if it looks pretty good in the pictures. The first two pics show the putties sanded smooth and then I primered it. Hopefully it would look good after next primer coat...
  21. This will be interesting! I can't wait to see how this turns out, the start looks excellent. I hope we would see more of these '50s and early '60s cars built this style.
  22. Thanks Carl! I'm really happy about the result, too. The contest Judges have liked it also.
