  1. Nah, the ride height looks good to me. I like to see one Mustang which is NOT Lowered, even if the wheels are changed. It looks kinda factory made anyway even if those wheels aren't original.
  2. Very Cool Willys build. Can't believe that it's like brand new, after around 30 years sitting in the display case! I like the paint on it and you nailed that right stance and look of early 60's Gassers.
  3. That's great to hear, someone else thinks same way as I do. I usually take part to Model Car Shows, and sometimes I win something, but that's not the point. As you said, "I do it for the fun of trying to build a nice replica of the real thing" is because of I build models too. Charger is coming along great, it looks very good. I can't wait to see more work.
  4. Thanks, Matti ! Some more done with the Chevelle. I removed part of those inner fenders from the front end. Now headers fit, they are built from solder, as those Turbos too. But the engine is so huge that headers can't go between frame rails, and that's why engine needs to sit bit higher. Because of that, I sanded intake manifold thinner as it was, so it would be lower. But that wasn't enough so I lowered those tubes between the manifold and the Fuel Injection system. Now that fits under the hood, and turbos fit there too. Plug Wires are installed too. Next steps are exhaust pipes and rest of those turbo tubings.
  5. Very Nice Dragster! I like the detail on it, incredible. Paint is great too, and those front wheels look awesome. Really great job all over, makes me wanting to build one.
  6. Here you go, http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=46150&st=0
  7. Thanks Both! Michael's build will be very interesting too . Cylinder Heads are resin castings by me, and intake manifold & that fuel injection system are from Revell's '37 Ford. It's not fitting under the hood now, but I need to make it bit lower. Also you can see that headers are not going to fit, so I must modify those inner fenders a bit. Made those Turbos too, but they need lots of work before I can install them.
  8. Well I'll be watching this one, the Vette was great build and this looks very mean too. I hope to see more progress soon.
  9. Cool HemiDart, never seen one with a FlipNose. You did great job with it. Paintjob and details look sharp and it's very clean build over all, no mistakes anywhere.
  10. One Great build again! Charger looks mean when it sits like that and those rear tires are huge! -That's good thing of course. Engine detailing is super and I like those Hemified decals on the roof.
  11. This is a cool one, I've seen one Drag Superbird in 1/25 before, so this is something different. Cool paintjob, and excellent idea of making Superbird into Drag Car. Very nice engine detailing also.
  12. Turned out great! This year Mustang Funny Cars look good and you did amazing job with that. Paintjob looks good and those decals are nicely on their place too.
  13. I'm Glad you enjoyed the photos! Here are more, from the First Cruising in Vantaa. Not Much cars there yet, but next month there will be lots of more... Anyway, here are the pictures. http://tapahtumakuvia.kuvat.fi/kuvat/Tapahtumat+2012/Cruisings/Vantaa/Vantaa+21.4.2012/
  14. Thanks! There might be a trailer coming too, but I'm not sure about it yet. If I get money soon, I might get a Trailer and build it, so let's see...
  15. Very cool '54 Chevy, as always! I like the color combo, and paintjob turned out good. Great bodywork with it too.
  16. Thanks Everyone for the kind comments! I'm pretty happy about the end-result too. Trucks are fun to build also, and I hope this build motivates me to get back on '66 Dodge L700 Truck.
  17. The Daytona was out of this world!!! I can't wait to see how spectacular build this is going to be! Frame looks very good so far, and I like that engine too. Amazing job, can't believe that you built whole engine block from sheet metal. Amazing scratchbuilding as always, Romell. I will be watching this one for sure, and I hope this gives ideas on my Pro Mod build, which is still in my head waiting for everything.
  18. Little more done with the Chevy. Progress is bit slow since this is my first try of making tube frame from plastic. I also finished that Kenworth Truck ( in Trucks Section) but now I'm back on this one. More work with the frame, and it's starting to look like car's frame a bit. More tubing is added and still few more needed, untill I can start the rear end of this frame. It's great to have as many Drag builders as we have here. Reference for tube frame is easy to find from other WIP topics. Also found the engine and rear axle. I'm not sure where they are from but I guess that they are from Monogram's STP Pontiac Pro Stocker.
  19. Looks very good so far! I'm gonna keep watching this build since it looks pretty interesting. Wheels and tires look very good, but I think that they are just perfect size. Ross Gibson engine looks good too, I've been thinking of ordering few of those...
  20. I'd like to see this Camaro in Hugger Orange with black stripes. It's absolutely the best color combination on this. What kit are you using, I'd like to see the box art. Parts look pretty much the same than old Monogram kit. Great job with it so far, engine and chassis look very good. I like the interior also.
  21. Finished pictures of the Kenworth are here, thanks, it was fun to be a part of this CBP.
  22. Kenworth is FINISHED, and Posted in Trucks section: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=57627 . I'm happy about how it turned out, and great thanks for everyone for following, and taking time to comment on this build thread. Please let me know what you think in that topic too, this was fun project and I hope that you enjoyed as much as I did.
  23. This Revell's Kenworth kit was bought from Hobby Lobby at Daytona Beach. The year was 2011. I had to buy one American Truck, since I've always thought that they are very cool, and here in Finland, almost every truck is Volvo, Scania or MAN. In Florida I saw many of those American Trucks, so I had to get one on my bench. The kit is pretty simple, but turned out pretty good. Interior was built box stock, with wood on the dash and steering wheel. Otherwise it's painted black and grey. Frame is Gloss Black from spray can and engine is Catepillar yellow, of course. The cab is also painted with spray can, and I used those decals what came with the kit. I enjoyed building this truck very much, and I would recommend this kit for anyone. 24. Thanks Everyone for the help! The Truck is finished now, and I will post it right away here. Thanks again for the tips.
