Cool and Nostalgic Ford T. I like the color and details are great. Wheels and tires fit nicely to this Old School Altered. I would like to see more of this style builds being built, nice to see this one.

57 chevy pro mod w.i.p (updates 11/11/12)
W-409 replied to tyrone's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Well this is cool! That engine looks very cool so far, and when the body is mocked up, everything looks so mean. Great job all around, the chassis and firewall are great too. -

How about slicks with white walls? They would look very good. Anyway, you did awesome job with the front tires. -
Pocher 1/8 scale Volvo F12 Tractor
W-409 replied to traditional's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
This looks great, I like the details you've added to this Truck model. Sometimes it's still possible to see these Volvo Trucks here, but it's quite rare anyway. Very cool build of rarely seen subject. -
Not much done since the latest update, but I managed to do little work yesterday (on Friday). I glued the interior floor to the chassis, and door panels are installed too. Those door panels can be removed, if necessary but they are glued so I can mock up the chassis to the body. Also painted those resin engine parts, intake manifold, and cylinder heads. I installed them too, but I must do some little smoothing still. And other valve cover is still missing, but needs to find one. The Gear Box is still under construction.

10.5 tire outlaw Twin Turbo Mustang BACK TO WORK ! :)
W-409 replied to nitrousnick4710's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Great to see some better pictures of this one, it looks amazing so far. I like the intake, you've done and turbos look good too. I will keep watching this one, keep it coming. -
Thanks Roy, I'm really happy how it turned out. Now I'm moving to chassis with that C/Street Mustang, Outlaw Mustang needs some body work.
-
Nothing wrong with it, Roy. You can join with it, just tell what is it so I can add you to the entry list and you can post the pictures here. My projects are bit stalled, but getting back to them soon.

Protar 1/12 1927 Fiat 1500cc Racecar
W-409 replied to traditional's topic in Other Racing: Road Racing, Salt Flat Racers
This is clean, as always. Great job with the Fiat, paintjob turned out great and I like that engine detailing. Wheels and tires look very good too, thanks for sharing this beauty with us. -
My oldest model...Mid 60s Healey B/Modified Sports drag racer
W-409 replied to traditional's topic in Model Cars
Well that is cool! Great to see really old builds in this good condition. You did amazing job, that looks like Traditional Gasser to me. Details are impressive, and stance is great. Can't believe that it's built with 60's tooling and sixties information of detailing plastic models. -
I Finally got one Auto ID Quiz right, and that's great. Even though, this one was easier since that rear end of the car looked just like Dodge Dart, and after searching from Wikipedia and Google, I tried to find somekind of Australian version of the Dart, and then I found this model. It looked close enough, finally.

I don't have that Stock Chrysler kit, or the NASCAR version yet of course, which is pre ordered, but after seeing the Moebius' Hudson, I guess this will be another great kit. It looks very good in pictures too, can't wait to get one. Maybe the best thing of Moebius' Hudson kit is the chrome plating, how it is in this Chrysler 300?

'57 Chevrolet Bel Air Super Pro Street (Updated 6/1/2012)
W-409 replied to W-409's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Thanks Guys! I'm searching parts now, I have the wheels and tires (well wheels are same Centerlines that Falcon has, I need to cast them). Engine is a big question yet, but needs to look spare parts if I could find anything. Rear axle might be problem too. Whole front suspension system can be scratchbuilt, if I have to, but I would like to find some parts there also. I post more pictures when I have something bigger to show you. -
'34 Ford Pick Up
W-409 replied to ChevyCoupe41's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
This looks very interesting so far, I'll be watching this one for sure. Wheel and tire choice is perfect, and I like what you've done for the spare tire cover (or what it is), since I removed that too on my build. -
Thanks Guys, it means alot! It sure feels good to see it finished, but at the same time it's bit sad, since this was very fun build. But anyway I'm happy that I finally finished it. After 20 years, I guess I can look back and see the skills improve when looking at this one. The snow is getting Finally away, and maybe after a month or so, it's time to mowe the yard. It's great to share these builds here, and see what people build all around the world. Here in Finland there are less builders, so new builds are shown less often (on Finnish Car Modelers Association forum). Yeah, I learned lots of new things during this build, and that's great. The next one will be more accurate, I guess. I would like to say Special Thanks for "6bblbird" of the great information about Stock Eliminator cars, and for sending the NHRA rulebook, they helped me alot. And without those informations, this would have never been accurate Stock Eliminator racer. Thanks a lot!

This looks very good. Detailing is awesome, and paintjob looks great. Clean build all over on rare subject.

Thanks, Chris, Joe, Jim, Floyd and John! I guess, this car wont have that chassis problem, as Jim's Falcon. I hope you manage to clear those issues, and get your Falcon stance set right. I casted some engine parts, and they came out OK. I'm going to test fit those tomorrow, and then I can see what have to be modified, but I'm pretty happy about how they turned out.

Since the Nova is Finished, I decided to start new project. Super Pro Street is car category, which is new here in Finland. Cars must have doors, but otherwise there are no big limits, but cars can be no faster than 6,8 seconds. Interesting, I would say. I've had '57 Chevy Pro Sportsman body for a while, and inspired by Tyrone's '57 Chevy ProMod, I started to build tube frame for it. I'm not sure about the engine yet, but maybe somekind of Pro Motor with TunnelRam intake... Let's see. Anyway, the basis for the frame is built from pieces of parts trees... Hope to have more soon, but this will be long project. So don't hold your breath. The Body, '57 ProSportsman Chevrolet The basis for the frame, some pieces parts trees... And here is my "Jig" for building the frame basis.

Thanks Chris! It means alot when coming from you.

THANKS to everyone of those kind comments! I'm really happy about how this long term project turned out. Andy: Glad to hear, you enjoyed the ride. Talking about future builds, I started new one today, and I guess I need to start a build thread here.... Matti: Wow, great. That GTO will be another great build from you, when finished. My GTO will be on the bench soon also. Aaron: I can see the improve on the skills too, and that's great. Maybe it's just because I try to do better, and I'm not rushing, as I did few years back. Thanks each and everyone again, I really appreciate these comments !

More Fun in 1:64th Scale. Superdetailed? Dirt Late Model
W-409 replied to DirtModeler's topic in WIP: NASCAR
Wow, amazing job with this one, but we need some pictures where the size can be compared to something, like box of matchs. It looks 1/25 or even bigger scale build in these pictures. -
Awesome Mercury Custom. VERY clean build all over, especially that engine bay looks good when it's that clean. Paintjob is smooth too.

2010 Ford Mustang GT Convertible Full Detail Conversion
W-409 replied to mrmike's topic in Model Cars
Great job with The Mustang, as always. I really like the idea of Full Detail Convertible, this sure is something different, and you did great job with it. Paintjob turned out very nice, and interior is nice. Color combo fits perfectly on this car.
