Looks very good, you are making great progress on this one. It's a shame that paintjob didn't go right on the first try, but I'm getting used to it, since almost every project of mine has at least one bath at the paint removal. Anyways the paintjob looks very good again, and bodywork you have done is very cool. I can't wait to see more of this Charger.

57 chevy pro mod w.i.p (updates 11/11/12)
W-409 replied to tyrone's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
This will be interesting. That '57 Body looks good to me, and with your talents this is going to be awesome build. The frame looks very good so far. I have to say that I always enjoy watching your projects. -
Well this one is beautiful Impala, luckily you didn't rush it. I like the color, and paintjob looks good too. Wheels and tires are super nice, and engine detail looks sharp. Everything is just alright in this Chevrolet.

WOW, I'm rarely drooling, but now I am. That Chevelle turned out FANTASTIC! Paintjob is beautiful, and I dig the stance. Your know how to make these Lowriders look cool. Some Stepside pictures too, the engine is now at this point. Otherwise it's built box stock, but spark plug wires and some linkage for the transmission are the things, I've added. Air Cleaner is also aftermarket stuff. I will continue with more detailing soon.

Thanks, Mark! I'm gonna take it on the bench tomorrow, and start working with the wheels and tires.

Thanks Richard, here's some more progress... Interior is installed, and it fitted pretty nicely on place. When I was gluing the chassis, other inner fender from the front, came apart from the body. Gluing it back with the chassis on place wasn't easy, but it's there and only a bit cleaning to do. Next I need to install those wires and hoses, then it's only final assembly time. The hood is still in primer, since I didn't remember to paint it earlier. One Question, though. Should I paint that grille and the "taillight panel" matt black, or just basic black wash? How it was in original '69 SS Nova?

Turned out real nice! Great paintjob and decalwork. I also like the detailing on this one. Very nice Tribute to Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins.

Are those Galaxie kits still available? I'd like to get one, but if they are hard to find and expensive, I need to think again. -
Is it OK to jump in with a car, that has been started before. I have done some work for the engine, but it's not close of being completed yet. Everything else than that engine, is still unpainted and unassembled? If that's acceptable, I join in with '65 Chevy Stepside.

Rambler looks great so far. What's that paint, you used? I mean the manufacturer and the color code. It looks just boring enough for a Sleeper. That Cross Ram Intake is installed, I guess it's from Monogram '57 Chevy. Carburetors are from that kit too, and so is the air cleaner, but it's still in progress... Paint scheme of it will be shown later. Valve covers are from this Camaro kit. Chassis is painted flat black too.

Thanks Richard and Wayne! I have to say, that Nova has always been one of my favorite cars, especially this '68-'72 version, but that 1st Generation Nova isn't bad either. I painted the body inside with Matt Black, and engine bay parts with Gloss Black. Today I installed the windows and class markings. Those F/S markings on the rear side windows are made by me, and printed by Petteri Nyholm. That "F" in the windscreen is from '70 Torino GT decal sheet, but other markings are done just like those others. Also Added NHRA logo to the rear window, it's from the kit. Tomorrow it's time to put the interior in. Then the chassis, and after that I can move on to those wires and other details, what need to be connected on the firewall, and brake lines what will be connected to the brakes, of course.

Moebius 1955 Chrysler 300 Ignition Wiring
W-409 replied to 250 Testa Rossa's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I did just like Chuck said to my '57 Chrysler 300C project, and here's one shot where you can see, where I drilled those holes. Hope This Helps. -
Revell Pro Sportsman kit has great tachometer, with is pretty close of Autometer Sports Comp tachometers. And the best thing is, that there is a shift light. I installed one in my Nova Stocker, and it looks pretty good.

Thanks Guys, I didn't know that there was a electric fan in '65 Stepside, but now I have one installed in the Nova. I just need more of those, and aftermarket parts could be a good choice, I guess.

Very cool Copo Camaro, this is something I want to build also from the new Special Edition kit. You did nice job with the hood scoop, and overall look is just right. Great job with the decals too.

Thanks Tyrone, and Richard! I got to say that Stockers and SuperStockers are my favorites, but after these, I like Pro Mods and Funny Cars the best. Nothing wrong with fast Doorslammers (other than ProMods) too. BMF is on the body now, I think it looks pretty good. Foiling was easy to do. I also installed the radiator parts to the frame. Electric Fan is from Revell '65 Stepside kit, and I wired it with Detail Master's Detail Wire, which is painted red. Radiator hoses are made by me, and hose clamps are just painted on. The windshield washer bottle is installed too, I painted some water there with thin Metallic Red from Humbroll. I'm very happy about how it turned out.

Here are some more pictures, they're from American Car Show-Traditional show. This was the 35th time when American Car Show was held in Finland. http://tapahtumakuvia.kuvat.fi/kuvat/Tapahtumat+2012/American+Car+Show+6-9.4.2012/Friday/ And Here's one Teaser, more at the link above. Yes, that RollsRoyce is built here in Finland.

Revell's New '77 Chevy Van and Jungle Jim's Vega FC. And some HotRod parts, I'll build few HotRods from those, and there are lots of parts too.

The battery is from the box, I just removed molded in battery cables and their connectors, new ones are aftermarket stuff. The plus cable from the starter isn't attached to the battery yet, but that time comes bit later, when the body is on. I connected the fuel line too, but it needs some cleaning before I post a picture.

Thanks Bart, Matti and Andy! Here comes some more pictures, I have finished polishing the Nova. It was bit stressing to start just polishing paintjob, but it's worth it. I know, that this wouldn't be good enough for many of you guys on here, but I got to say that I'm really happy about the first polished paintjob, I've ever done. I guess it's time for BMF.... Brake Master Cylinder is glued on its place, and I connected brake lines to it. The one what goes to the front, it attached to scratchbuilt LineLock. I had to build bracket to LineLock too, it's made from metal wire.

It looks very good. Paint is great, and decals fit nicely, even in that small scale. Great job on the tires and wheels too, they look very good to me. Looks like you managed to fit windows very nicely on place too.
