  1. It is built to match Pro Mod rules and it has real Pro Mod engine, and the driver originally built it for Pro Modified... But I guess, it'll run in Super Pro Street this summer.
  2. I did some work for the C/Street Mustang's engine too. I glued that Pro Charger on its place, and I built that tubing for the air cleaner from 3mm solder. Spark plug wires are also installed and all of the Pro Charger tubings etc. are on their places. Belt pullies are from other kit, and the belt is made from paper.
  3. I built one Cowl Induction Scoop for that blue Outlaw Mustang, it's made from styrene, but I'm not sure if it needs a hole if engine don't fit in.... And front spoiler is made from styrene too, also added some two part bondo on that, some sanding and then it'll look much smoother...
  4. Very cool Falcon, it's a shame that this kit is pretty simple. You did very good job with it anyway, especially that engine detailing caught my eye. GREAT build, thanks for sharing.
  5. Of course it CAN be built to Pro Mod, but it wouldn't be fast enough in real life. I guess Pacer would be VERY cool Pro Mod car, even if it wouldn't be that fast. But without body modifications it would be something like this very cool Finnish Camaro Pro Mod.
  6. This'll be great when painted. Primer looks good too, and when you have all of those colors painted, it'll be true eye candy, as Dr. Cranky would say. Can't wait to see some paint on it.
  7. Great job with the Shelby so far. I'm going to follow this build very closely, that engine looks very good so far and those wheels are much better than the original versions, even if I don't usually like that kind of wheels, but in this car where wheels are "too big" originally, it doesn't matter that much.
  8. Thanks, Alan! The Driveshaft loop will be glued on both, front and rear. I FINALLY managed to remember and primer that timing chain cover. It turned out pretty good, only those ejector pin marks need to be removed. Then I'm going to paint it blue, and start assembling the engine.
  9. And the restore continues... ...So I cut that old version of top away, since I found one top which was pretty close on original Fox Mustang top. That is now glued, but it needs still some styrene before it fits correctly.
  10. Luke, that looks amazing so far. Great to see Lowriders being built from different subjects. Is that going to be also gloss black? That color have been looking very good on your latest builds. It would be a lot of fun to build one, but I don't have any good basis for the build right now.
  11. I had to try what happens when I test my polishing set... Nova's top is now pretty shiny, but there are some very little scratches on the paint. My finest grit was only 8000, and I need to have some finer grits too. Maybe 12000 is enough to smooth and shiny paintjob. The top is polished now up to 8000, but otherwise the body is polished up to 4000. But now I'm going to finish two fast builds before this one, because their deadline is coming closer and closer. You can see the scratches in that second picture...
  12. It looks very good so far. This is absolutely one of the coolest builds in this forum. Great looking Daytona when that body is mocked up, I really can't wait to see it painted.
  13. Wheels are painted, I tried to replicate Magnesium or something. Paint is Humbroll Metallic 53, bolts and nuts are painted aluminium and center caps are semigloss black. Painted letters from those tires also, I'm pretty happy about the end result. Engine needs fuel pump, needs to start searching one. While searching, I could move on to the interior and chassis.
  14. The paint has been stripped off from the engine, and I can start building it too. First I must take apart everything I can. Valve covers need to be modified also, and then I will add Merlin decals to them.
  15. Very nice looking Fury, it looks like real car what has been abandoned for few years. It's nice to see four door cars too, can't believe that it's actually 12 hour build...
  16. Yes, those Olds Cutlass headlights are pretty close, and they would work fine. Do you mean Scale Auto Magazine? Tail-lights are harder to do, it would be great to see that article....
  17. Detailing is amazing, and very interesting build too. I haven't seen these new Pro Stockers being built, and I'm really interested seeing this one. Keep up the great work.
  18. Great build, and excellent subject! Did you get those rear tires fit, or is it still in "To Do-list"? Engine looks great so far, and I like the stance. And is it OK if you add X2 or something like that to the topic title, and I post my progress here also, since I'm building other D/S '69 GTO? Like our Community Build, you know.
  19. Body is clearcoated now. I it needs some polishing, since there's some dust now (last picture). But otherwise I'm pretty happy about it. Now just needs to let it dry for few days.
  20. Yes, I guess so. Yellow letter just don't fit into my eye, so I wanted to paint them white. It's not going to be as accurate as it could be, but pretty close.
  21. Here's another Pro Mod Daytona, driver is Graham Ellis. Great job again, that floor looks good. Detailing is amazing, I could Never build anything like this. Thanks for sharing.
  22. Thanks Chris, I have two-part bondo too, and I'm using these Green and White Putties sometimes, but usually I use that two part bondo. It dries very fast, that's true. The worst thing with two part bondo is, that it is harder to sand than this putty. But overall, it's better stuff, and I've been using it mostly.
  23. This is maybe the coolest Thunderbird, I've ever seen. I really like Larry Watson style scalloops, and this has turned out awesome. Is that somekind of Semi-Gloss paintjob?
  24. I bought White Putty from Model Car Contest, and I had to test it now, since I managed to get that front end fit correctly. I applied some White Putty now, and it's much better than Green Putty. Smooth and thin, Green Putty is rough and thick.
  25. I painted the letters from two of those tires. Other two are still waiting, maybe I'll paint them today. They didn't turn out as good as I wanted, but I guess I can live with them. I have also continued working with that carburetor, and body too. But pictures of carb. and body are coming later.
