Tight race- Pro Mod VS Mini Van.
-
Pro Mod is great category. In Alastaro, Finland, Michael Gullgvist drove 5.911 (2010), and last year he drove 5 second pass again. Can't remember how fast it was though. And there are few other five second passes too in Europe. This is the coolest Pro Mod in Europe, it doesn't have to be aerodynamic or something...

1/16th TDR Camaro Pro Mod and Dirt Modeler mock up
W-409 replied to ratnasty's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Great looking parts there. That body sure looks good and will be great when completed. Seat looks like real also. -
WOW, those are incredible!!! I'm just wondering, that how anyone can build anything like that??! Looks like you got amazing talents, Dave. Well, actually I was sure about that already. Carburetors are going to look very very very good when finished.

Not much done with the Mustang yet, but I glued the engine block halves together. Next some sanding, and then I will be able to paint that. Rear slicks are also found from my parts box, they look very good when I did little Mock-Up. This is the basis-Revell Special Edition kit.

Thanks Andy and Romell! Glad to hear, you're enjoying. Decals are now on their place. All of the decals are from the kit, and they fit fine. I'm going to spray some clear over this body on sunday. Sorry about the poor pictures, lightning wasn't perfect.

1/8 '60s era A/Modified Roadster and "Big Deuce" pushcar

Wow, great combination. That Hot Rod looks very Old School, and so does that Dragster too. Detailing is incredible. I really like them both, paintjobs are very nice. -
This is something I need to have. I can remember one of these in red, here in Finland. It was very nice and clean, almost like straight from the factory... It's still in my head, and I guess I must build one like that. But before buying this version of Chrysler 300, I have to make sure, that I get one Tim Flock NASCAR Chrysler, that is even more interesting. Nice builds there, this kit looks very good from here, and can be built into very nice model.

Yeah, pretty expensive. Huh. I'm working with the front end again, and trying to make it fit better on its place. I guess I will be able to post some pictures soon, if I get anything bigger done.

X8, X9, X10............ Great job with the chutes, they look amazing! Wow, how easy can model building look, when there's very talented builder. Thanks for sharing, I'm waiting for more. -
Great build again, Andy! I like the paintjob, and pictures are fine. Great job with the detailing, engine looks very good. Decals fit nicely to the body shapes too.
-
Thanks very much, Darryl! That Rulebook is really good, and helps me alot. Nova is red again, and looks pretty good I think. I'm going to add clear coat and decals. After clearcoat, it's time to test that Polishing set... Coming up next-the fuel pump.

Update for Chrysler 300C. I installed transmission oil dipstick. That end of the stick (from where you lift it up, you know?) is made from brass wire, and turned out better than original one. Those belt pulleys were cut away from the original belt. New belt is made from paper. It's bit too thin, but I guess it's better than AMT's version of it. Also painted those center caps of wheels. Don't worry about those mold lines on the dipstick and oil filter, they are removed after taking these pictures... Rear axle had one molded in type brake line... ....So I removed it, and going to make new one later when the axle is painted... And here's the picture of those wheels...

Some more progress with this build too. I test fitted the frame to the body, and cut those half-round openings to firewall. Now that chassis fits nicely to the body, and I can continue building the front end of that chassis. Engine mounts need to be done too, and remove paint and glue from that engine.

Very nice Oldsmobile Funny Car, great job with the decals and body painting looks very good too. I like the engine, and doesn't matter that it's not "Wired and plumbed", this proves, it looks amazing without wires and detail stuff. Thanks for sharing this WIP with us.

Very nice HotRod, it looks like real Hot Rod from the 60's! This color fits perfectly, and Flathead is great choice for the engine.

It has been waiting for inspiration. Sanding is not the funniest thing in model building, but I guess it's time to take this one back on the bench too. And I think I can manage with that Evergreen conversion part, just needs to do few things better for it. But thanks for the offer, Austin.

Alright, now I have good reference pictures for my Super Stock Mustang build, and I guess you will see some progress on mine soon. Thanks to mcandela for the pictures, they were absolutely amazing.
-
Well now I got pictures, huge thanks to Mike (mcandela). Lots of good pictures, so stay tuned. The build will be in Community Builds-section, in that 2005-2010 Mustang CBP.

Yes they are, and here are some more. From Finnish Model Car Show, don't know if I should post it on this topic, or in General-section, but I guess it's better when there's only one topic. http://tapahtumakuvia.kuvat.fi/kuvat/Tapahtumat+2012/Model+Cars/Tampereen+Pienoismallip%E4iv%E4+3.3.2012/ And one Teaser picture,

Finally found one Tunnel Ram manifold, and I can cast one from resin. Then I can continue building the engine for my Camaro project, and body needs to be sanded and primered too. I've been having lots of other stuff in my life too, like school and 1:1 scale projects. I'm building two models with tight deadline too, so I'm bit hurry with them. I will post more information of them later.
