  1. It's great to see that every day comes an update, and the bike always looks BETTER! Really nice job on this one, detailing is incredible, and all of the modifications are made very nicely. Personally this is not my favorite style Drag Bike, but it's very interesting subject, as a model. I like this one, keep it going.
  2. So, I'm building the Street version, and now I finally understood, where the battery actually is. White wall lettering is painted with a really small brush using Revell gloss white. It works fine, and doesn't go off from the tire, even if many people say that Revell enamel paints are bad and you can't paint a tire with them... I've never had any problems with that. Thank you for the info and reference, now I must get back to Cobra...
  3. Those decals might be in correct size... But for the model, yes, it's a '70 Plymouth Cuda. This is going to be really interesting, building and restoring old and rare kit. Can't wait to see more.
  4. That dash looks like real! Great job with it so far, can't wait to see more. Wheels and tires are looking really autentic also, this is one must have kit, as a little AMC and NASCAR fan... Keep it going, I'm watching this project!
  5. Äh.... I didn't get 100% what you meant. So is the battery in the interior, where the passenger keeps his/her foot? Or in the engine bay? I have one battery under construction, but if it is in the interior, then I don't add so much detail to it, because no one can see it.
  6. Thank you all for the nice words. This one is in my personal "Top Ten Rally Cars"- list. It was pretty wild machine, of course can't beat Lancia S4, or 037... Thank you for the comments, I hope to have next one finished pretty soon...
  7. Thanx, both! If I remember correctly, this kit doesn't have a battery, so I must take one from my spares box... Thanx for the info. I have started adding brake lines, but they are still under construction, I can't finish them until I have the brake master cylinder fitted to the car, and that means, that I must put the body on before I can finish those brake lines... But if I remember correctly, I have one photo etch set of battery decals, and some battery cable, so I can make that battery look good.
  8. How about the price of those Slixx decals? And where I can get them? They are looking very good, and what I've heard, they are good quality too... Those sponsor decals are always very important, it's great to have few of them waiting for a model... Great work so far, as always! Those four link mountings are looking really good so far. I like the frame construction, this one inspires me to continue my '63 Impala Pro Street with tube frame, I made from brass. Also I'd like to start my '60 Impala Pro Streeter... Lots of models to be done, but so little time for them all...
  9. Thanks, Brett! It looks like, I can lay the final primer today, because the weather looks good enough... Chassis is still on the starting line, but when I got some paint there, I'll continue. Hope to get this one finished on the summer vacation.
  10. Great subject, can't wait to see it. This one is maybe the best looking Charger, ever made. But anyway, is that kit good quality? I'm very interested about buying one, but how is the quality? But your builds are always very nice to follow, and this will look good too.
  11. Some sanding to the body. It's getting shape, and now it's ready for the final primer, I think. I sanded the putties smooth and then I found some reason to sand from next to right side B- pillar. But now i must paint some primer tomorrow, if the weather is good.
  12. Where are all projects? I'm just interested about them.... My Austin took a little step forward. The progress is slow, and Corvette is also waiting for builder. But I added some more putty to the body, and painted some clear to that engine. Now it's looking pretty good, but let's see how it looks like when it's dry. I also sanded the putties smooth. Now I think, that if tomorrow is a good day, meaning the weather, I'll paint some primer on it. Then I can see how much more filling it needs before the paint, which is going to be British Racing Green, or even close to it. Sometimes it's hard to believe that this is really 1/25 scale, it feels like it is smaller. Here is a picture of Austin body next to '70 SuperBee body... They are both 1/25 scale, but of course American Muscle Car is bigger.
  13. Really cool Nova! I like the paintjob on it, and color looks good too. Nice conversion... The kit quality? Good? I like the interior, and engine detailing. Stance is looking very good too, and overall look is very good. Nice build sir!
  14. I'm going to visit in Rome, and I'd like to know about the model shops located in Rome. Any help and information would be very great to have. Only bad thing is, that finding American cars is almost inpossible... Well, Rally car then... But any model shops, where are car models, are very interesting. I've found these three already. -Modellismorossi Largo Leonardo Da Vinci 2A Rome Very much stuff, car models too. It's bit far away from the hotel, but subway is coming very near, or then take a taxi... -M5 Modellismo Via Gela 35/37 Rome Mostly trains, but I think, that it's so close that I'll visit there and watch if I can find any interesting subjects there... Giorni Modellismo Via De Gracchi 31 Close to Vatican (or what ever is it.)
  15. "If something doesn't fit, take a hammer... If it doesn't help, take a bigger hammer!" :D
  16. Thanx, Gordon!Your Dodge L700 is looking really cool too! Is that Dodge A100 "panel version" somekind of resin kit? It looks very interesting. Your Lonestar chassis is also looking good! I'm doing today an order to Modelexpress... One International Lonestar, and '64 Ford Falcon. I also have bought one Peterbilt, so I'm maybe going to do an entry with those too...
  17. Really great! 1/16 scale looks very good. I didn't even know that there is a kit of that car... Must get one. I like the engine. It looks very realistic, and so does the frame. Really good job so far, I'll keep my eye on this build.
  18. Really cool! I like the color scheme, and that color in the back of the car is looking awesome. Paintjob is great too. I like the wheels and tires, they look very realistic. So does the engine. Nice to see one Blue Flame six cylinder engine there. I like this one as a model, but if it would be real car, I'd change that engine to Chevy 283". Model looks good anyway.
  19. Thanks, Romell and Ron! I need now some flat black spray paint for that convertible top, which I'll be using. Interior cauges... I will print them out tomorrow, but I will put some smaller things now, like brake lines and that kind of stuff... Where is the battery located in original Cobra? In the trunk, or engine bay...?
  20. Thanks, Ron! I'm trying to lay that color at last next week. Now it needs still one primer coat after sadning, I think. The hood and some other little parts are still waiting for the stripper, I didn't remember them. But the paint goes off fast, I hope.
  21. It's Maston orange straight from the spray can.
  22. I decided to leave the body without clear, the shine is ok to me after the paint, so I put decals on. Hood needs still painting. Decals did fit quite well, but there are still few places, where I must add some white paint. Then the body looks good. I also glued engine to the frame. Fits fine, but I did shorten the propeller shaft, because otherwise engine couldn't fit to its place. Also some interior work. I added seats, handbrake handle and shifter and some other parts. Seatbelts are Scale Dreams' stuff and belt buckles are from Model Car Garage (MCG). I added also the spinners... Some black wash to the panel lines. Thanx for looking, comments are always welcome.
  23. I did some more bodywork today for this one. I found some scratches and other spots what needed some putty. So I made some fillind to the front fenders. After sanding, I think that they are looking really good and the body is ready for final primer and then the red color coat. Thanx for looking.
  24. This is my third model for 2011. It's built from Revell's kit, which is pretty good quality. I started the work from the chassis, because there is no engine. Exhaust pipes are painted silver, and then I added some blue and gold to simulate burned exhaust pipes... Axle systems were easy to install, but later I had some problems with them. Front wheels are turning. Interior was simple, seats etc. fit nicely on their places and they are looking good. Body is painted white, and then I added lots of decals. They were very tricky, but after all they came out ok. Installing the body to the frame was hard job. After one try, I broke almost hole interior while trying to get it fit inside the body. Second try went easily. But rear tires were too front, so I did take off all rear suspension and I built it again. Now tires are in good spot. Nothing special of the final assembly, THIS ONE IS A BOXSTOCK. '
  25. Thanks, Eelco and Ron! I've painted for example one wooden bed for Dodge L700. First some Humbroll matt brown, and then some Humbroll's clear orange on it. Looks quite realistic, I think. Not sure what the professional builders use, but I think, it's easy job to do like that and looks good too. I bought also one Peterbilt 359... It's a gluebomb, but actually I bought it because of I need two rear axles, from truck model kit... I'm thinking of molding resin copies from them, so I can built my "Rat Truck" ready and them the Peterbilt too.
